What was I thinking? I wonder how to get out of this." I also wonder if anyone has every thrown an election. Posted by 6fsn[/QUOTE]
I think a normal person would think "this sucks - it's so not worth it" but I don't think anyone who runs for president is a normal person, with the exception of Ron Paul.
And as far as throwing an election - - it almost seemed like John McCain did that when he selected, and kept, Sarah Palin as a running mate, didn't it?
I really believe McCain actively tried to undermine his campaign. I remember thinking he was calling it in for lots of speeches and appearances, but then the debates? Wowza, those were just ridiculous.
i had a different thought than yours, but similar, 6. last night, i was wondering, what if the president (and president in the office at the time of an election) just didn't feel like runing for an additional 4 years? would they have the guts to sit out the next election?
i like that the election process is so hard, so expensive and so long. it weeds out the candidates who can't cut it.
i also think herman cain was soooooooo mad when people took his seriously (at first). he just wanted to raise his profile, charge more for speeches, etc. then people started wanting details and it was a lot of work and it all went nuts and so did he. btw, if you saw him on the daily show, you know -- no one should have taken him seriously and the rnc was even madder than he was.
Well, you just do what GWB did- put Cheney and Rove in control and then spend as much time as humanly possible in Crawford, TX or wherever the hell else you want to be.

It's all insanity.

I just a friendly gal looking for options.
There's information that they get that once they know, they can't just forget about. That's a lot to take in.
