Hey HM twin!

When are you going to be at Maroma? Do you know what excursions you're going to do? What room did you book?

I hope you get back in time to tell me EVERYTHING about it... I'm so excited it's not even funny. :)

    HEY!!!

    So we're going August 2-9th. We're staying in a regular room, not a swim out. Too many reviews said that people can just look in your room... and what if some one accidentally comes into my room??

    I am not sure about excursions. We haven't decided if we want to do a lot of extra things or just relax at the resort.

    We are definitely going to see the ruins. I wanna go to Chichen Itza but tygirl said it might be too far away... :( I'd like to swim with dolphins and go to Cozumel but who knows! We're not booking anything until we get there. Risky, I know, but a friend who just went there said that this was def the way to go. She asked the concierge about what she wanted to do and they did a lot of excursions for better rates than you can find online.

    I will definitely be able to tell you all about it. :)

    I'm SOOO excited to be there, drink as much as possible, eat whatever we want, and not have to do dishes or clean up after ourselves or anything! PLUS, i can't wait to see that beautiful beach and water!

    What are you thinking of doing?

    Oh I'm so glad that you're going to be back before we leave! We leave the 16th... taking that early 5:15am flight down there. So you will have to tell me everything!!

    We got a regular room too... the TA i booked through said that typically her clients get upgrades, and the swimout rooms weren't worth it because some people have problems with mosquitos. Plus, she said that you dont get the pretty ocean view from there.

    I really want to do the ruins, too. I kinda want to do Xel-Ha or X-Caret, but I heard that they're a lot like amusement parks... so I dont know. I think we're going to wait until we get down there too before we book anything. That way we can haggle (if I'm in the mood... i hate to haggle, lol). I DEFINITELY want to get a couples massage on the beach. that is a must-do. I want to swim with dolphins too... thats always something I've wanted to do, so we'll see.

    I'm stoked because FI has never been to Mexico before, so this is going to be a lot of fun. And it's an area I havent explored either, so it should be awesome.

    We have friends that went to Secrets Capri, and they said it was so amazing, and that Maroma was supposed to be even better. They were jealous when I told them we booked Maroma. :)

    I'm with you though... let me eat, drink, and look at that GORGEOUS water, and not have to do anything, and I'm good to go.

    I'm just SO ready for a vacation... :)

    I will DEFINITELY be ready to haggle when I go down there! After all the money that we're spending on the wedding and honeymoon, we'll need to save wherever we can. I think that they've made water parks around those ruins. I really just wanna see chichen itza... i'll try to make it happen.

    FI has never been on a plane so we're excited about that. I've been to Canada but never mexico so thats even more exciting. :) Plus, this is our first real vacation away! We're super excited.

    I'm worried about lizards.. i'm SOO scared of reptiles.
