Can't Decide on a venue!

I've never been an indecisive person but wedding planning has turned me into one.

FI and I are trying to pick a venue for our Oct 2012 wedding. The dates are already filling up fast so we need to decide. The two were trying to pick between: Darshana Hall Plantation and Grassy Creek Vineyard. We love both for different reasons.

Darshana Hall has a lot of elegance and "wow" factor being the the main house was built in 1818. It would be a very "southern" experience for all of our guests who will be traveling from the NY/NJ area. And the price is right and it includes a wedding planner, something I hadn't planned into my budget but would defintely give me peace of mind the day of and someome to coordinate all of our vendors. Cons the plantation is gorgeous but the area its in isn't, and while the reception is hidden by the house the main road is right on the other side. Also this is more of a up and coming venue so maybe all the kinks aren't worked out yet.

Grassy Creek Vineyards is more rustic with a cabin complex out in their vineyards. The thing we love here is that we'd rent the cabin complex for a full two nights and our parents and bridal party could stay at the complex with us. It would also give us the ability to have the rehearsal dinner there for just the cost of food and a brunch for our guests sunday morning. We could really turn this site into a "wedding weekend." Cons, I'd be playing point guard more, no wedding coordinator so it would be on FI and I to coordinate all the vendors, also unlike the one above we'd also need to coordinate rentals of tables/chairs/linens etc. It also is a more natural feel then elegant feel.

Help! I don't know which way to go...

    Wow two gorgeous venues!

What's your gut instinct? I personally love the second choice - it's very October-in-North-Carolina. I see the other as very summery and a little more formal. It sounds like the second option will offer more for you and your guests, and the wedding planner thing sounds great but you also have plenty of time to plan things on your own ahead of time so you may not need the planner. Also, you kind of get stuck with whatever planner they have as opposed to picking your own, so who knows if that's going to be a good fit for you or if you might clash with them. I would go for the planner option if you were trying to pull this off for THIS October but you've got plenty of time.
Have you picked a photographer yet? Vineyards are going to offer you sooo much as far as photos if you get the right one. What does your gut tell you?
