Any Destin FL Hotel Recommendations?

Hello Ladies,
Thinking of going to Destin FL middle of October this year. Do  you have any hotel recommendations? Things to do?

    My FI is stationed in that area, we stayed at the Holiday Inn once and that was pretty nice. There is a beach very close to it that is beautiful. My one huge suggestion is to eat at McGuire's Irish Pub. It is seriously delicious and they have a ton of different options

    My brother is stationed outside of Destin (Fort Walton Beach). I went 2 years ago to visit him and stayed at a place in Destin called The Summer Place Inn. It was pretty clean and it had a really nice pool, really close to the beach, and good breakfast in the morning. I would stay there again. We mostly went to the beach a lot and did some shopping, a lot of cute areas to shop!

    We always stay at the Islander on Holiday Isle.  I went there every year with my family when I was growing up and absolutely loved it.  My husband and I went to Destin last October and stayed there, and it's where we got engaged!
