Mulberry Art Studio/First Looks pics

Anyone else getting married (or have been married) at Mulberry Art Studio? I want to do a "first look", but it doesnt seem like there's anywhere around there to do it at. All the little back alleys near it are kinda dirty and...scary. Any suggestions or ideas??

I toured that place to possibly get married there. It is very beautiful inside. But I agree, it does have very narrow back alleys and not a lot of parking. Also I had a hard time finding it at first. It is kind of pricey, but they provide the centerpieces and have a kitchen there. I ended up going with the Carlisle Ribbon Mill, because it was much cheaper, easier to find, more parking and they give you the whole day instead of limited hours.

What about the freight elevator?  Lots of awesome textures and would be a cool play out for a first look.  If not what about the central market area?

I am getting married there next May. Loved the people. They are more about making you happy than making money. They are hard to get a hold of, so I would suggest calling. The price of rental does include tables, chairs, linens, decorations and centerpieces. It is a really nice place. You have two rooms to choose from depending on your budget. Would highly recommend touring.

Thanks girls....I guess I wasnt quite clear....we're already getting married there in September. Its paid for and everything. Haha. So thanks for all the other venue suggestions...but its a little late for that. Hahaha.

I love the freight elevator, but there's not much lighting and my photographer suggested outdoor lighting. I'll have him check it out though.

Also...tking1286...just so you know, the rental price does not include linens. April will give you a separate quote for linen rentals. And not all of the decorations are included...some are extra - like the paper lanterns. And some they dont tell you about until afterwards when you get the bill...thats what happend to someone else I know who got married there. They charge you for little things you wouldnt think of...like high tables and chairs in the gallery downstairs for your cocktail hour. You'd think they are just included in the room...but they arent. They're like $20 or something like that. Not a lot, but it all starts to add up. Dont get me wrong, its an absolutely beautiful place and I dont regret the decision at all...I would recommend it to everyone!!...but it is very expensive.

    Hi JJLeon210!
We are getting married there next August and I would love to keep hearing about all of your ideas and to see your photos. I agree with you about the pricing. But I couldn't give it up once I saw the inside:) We love it!

We are going to do our first look photos around Central Market or the train station. Maybe even Franklin and Marshal College. All short drives away.
