Beach Weddings

Just got engaged and seeking any info on having a wedding at the beach.  Was wondering if anyone is using or has used in past any of the local "Beach" coordinators in Southern California....is it worth the money or better to just do the planning, arrangeing yourself?

    Interesting - I didn't realize that there were local boards too!

    Geribeck, I'm getting married on a beach in LA and plan to do it myself BUT will have someone the day of to help make sure everything's set.  If you have the money, I think it's always easier to have someone help you, but if you're strapped there's TONS of ideas/suggestions out there for beach weddings.

    My officiant had a great suggestion for our ceremony (we're expecting aroudn 100 guests) - instead of standard rows, set up the chairs like an amphitheater/semi-circle.  It might help them hear better and make the setting more intimate.

    Don't forget, you need to get general liability insurance (event insurance) before you can get a beach permit.
