Wedding Dress looks all wrong

Hey girls so I purchased my wedding gown! When I began shopping, I fell in love with Ruching, but now I'm not sure if I'm so fond of it, and my dress is completely ruched in the front. Here is a picture for reference:

Now that I'm looking at pictures of myself in it, the ruching looks all wrong..like in a bunched up sort of way. The store picture shows that the ruching flows out gradually, where the pictures of me in it doesn't look quite as flowy...almost like a bandage wrapped around my whole body.

Is it because the dress is sized wrong for me and the fittings will help how bunched up it looks?

What do you think??

TIA

Re: Wedding Dress looks all wrong

  • I would say that the having it sized correctly could help.  You also have to keep in mind that the pictures on store websites have been retouched and are taken of pressed dresses that have been fitted to a mannequin and precisely placed and manuevered to give it the best look.

I honestly do not think that you dress looks like it is bunching up on you and I think that the ruching flows nicely.

  • I think the rouching looks fine on you. It just needs a good steaming/pressing once it comes in
  • I think that having it properly fitted and pressed will help a lot.
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
  • Yes, once the dress is fitted properly and steamed the ruching should sit smoothly  :)
