So. For the past 3 months, I have been unemployed. At first, I absoutely LOVED it, especially because I got laid off exactly 1 month and a day to our wedding. Having that month before off really gave me time to concentrate on all of the details and final things for the wedding. So once the wedding came and gone, and the honeymoon was over, I was officially on the job search.
Oh boy! That job market is SCARY. After going on tons and tons of interviews, I finally had one bite! I went on an interview last Wednesday and by the time I got home from the interview, I had an email from them asking me to come in on Thursday for another one! All I could think to myself was "SCORE !!!! GOT IT!". So, after the interview on Thursday, I was told I would be contacted on Friday. Ok, no problem! Well, maybe 1 teeney tiny problem.
On Friday, at 6am, I was on my way to the airport to fly to Boston to then drive to Vermont for my brother's wedding. OH JOY. I am currently in the middle of NO WHERE, with NO CELL SERVICE, and I'm expecting a call. After numerous times of checking my phone, still with the NO SERVICE at the top left, I get a voice mail. YAY!!! It was her! She asked me to call her back. I walked around like in a movie with my phone up trying to find the one spot in BumF*ck Vermont that has cell service! I find it. I call her back and leave her a voice mail (figures she didn't answer when I had service) I am at the rehearsal dinner, and I suddenly feel my phone vibrate. I run out of the room, head to that exact spot, to see .... a text! She asked if I could call her Monday when I finally got service and was home from my brother's wedding.
So now fast forward to Monday (today!), (p.s. my brothers wedding was GREAT!!! too bad it rained but we still know how to party!) I call her and she flat out offers me the job at the exact HIGH pay that I threw at her. This job is NOT RETAIL, thank god! And I will be making 15k more then I was at the job I was laid off from!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCTIED!!! I can't wait to start next week. The fun part is, the dress code is "business office casual". Which basically means, NO JEANS. It's time to go SHOPPING!!! YAY!!!
