Bourbon Vieux

Has anyone been to an event at Bourbon Vieux?  How's the food?  The decor?  I'm thinking about having a rehearsal dinner there for about 50 people and then inviting all our other wedding guests (about 100 more people) for a 1 1/2 hour welcome party.  I like the fact that they have a big balcony.  The welcome party will have an open bar and limited appetizers/deserts.  Also, are there any other venues you suggest I look at?

We just looked at the place. The inside space is really really big for just 50 people, but once your larger group gets there, I'm sure you guys won't feel so lonely. We didn't sample the food, but the food at the restaurant downstairs (Cajun Cabin) is pretty good. My fiance absolutely adores their shrimp poboys, but I would guess based on the other properties that are owned and operated by the same people that their more formal food would be pretty good too.

    Hope that helps!

OH! One more thing: one of the big reasons we opted against it: we have small kids coming, and the view from the balcony is of the "World Famous Sex Acts" storefront on Bourbon....not family friendly...
