My brother and I were very close growing up. We were only 2 years apart. We worked our first jobs together--even went to college together.
However, he unexpectedly passed away a few months ago. He was only 29. My fiance and I are looking for a unique way to pay tribute to our relationship at the wedding (ceremony or reception) since he will not be present for our day. I realize that it will be somber, but I can't imagine going through my wedding without doing something to acknowlege that he should have not only been there, but been in the wedding.
I am looking for a good brother/sister song that is clearly about a brother/sister relationship. I've thought about either doing a slideshow or just taking a moment at the reception to play the song. I just feel that our relationship (and the fact that he just passed away) warrants more than simply lighting a candle or putting a note in the program.
Any suggestions?
