anyone thought about having their ceremony/reception at the Coast Guard House in Narragansett?

Just trying to come up with ideas on places to have both the ceremony and reception. would like to have an indoor/outdoor option. Coast Guard House came up and wasn't sure if anyone else has checked it out. Any suggestions?

We thought about it when we were looking around but didn't love the logistics of it.

Have you looked at The Meeting House in Tiverton? You can get married outdoors or inside, have dinner under a tent and dancing back in The Meeting House.

ETA: I can post pics if you want to see the inside.

We went to a reception there a few years ago.

The main dining room is an L shape (albeit an L shape with beautiful views), so it's definitely not traditional in shape for a reception. If you decide to go with it, I would recommend putting your sweetheart table or head table at the corner of the L so that everyone can see you.

The dancing is usually in the room with the fireplace just inside the front door, so we felt like the party and the dinner were going on in two different places at times. This can be a good or not so good thing, depending on what you're looking for.

I have thought about the meeting house, i just haven't checked it out yet, I don't have enough $$ for a down payment until about Sept. so I haven't really gone to look at anything yet.

We got married there in 2006 - before their major renovation.  We only had 70 guests (min was 75 - so we paid for 5 we didn't have).  At the time cocktail hour and dancing was in the fireplace room - not sure that is still true.  We are a second wedding couple- in our 40's, so we liked having the music in a different room, made conversation at the tables easier.  We used Moondance DJ, who has done a lot of weddings there, and understood the logistics of the venue.
Our guests were amazed by the setting- it feels like you are on a ship almost.  I think it would be challenging to have more than 90-100 guests there.
If you have more questions you can page me on Second Weddings. ~Donna
