Jack and Jill Party

So FI's BM and a couple other WP members have talked to us about a jack and jill party for our stag/stagettes, rather than doing seperate ones, Im thinking it is a good idea, but Ive never been to one and I dont know anyone who has, So I was just wondering what any experiences anyone has had? good or bad. :) so we can decide whether or not wed like to do it that way!

Thanks!

Jack and Jill as in fundraiser for the wedding?  Or just a joint bach party?  A boys and girls bachelor(ette) party is fine, but don't have a fundraiser for your wedding.  Super tacky.

oh god no, never a fundraiser...ive never even heard of that. Just a joint stag/ette party.
Just wondering if anyone has done this and what their experiences were.

We had a semi-joint bachelor/bachelorette party. We were still living in CT at the time, and my MOH and DH's best man rented a party bus that took us up to Mohegan Sun for the evening. The party bus was co-ed, but once we got there, I went with the girls to a club while DH and the guys went to other various bars and hit the tables to play cards and stuff.

We had a blast, and a lot of people mentioned how much fun it was to have the guys on the bus and vice versa. I've also attended a joint bachelor/bachelorette party for one of my best friends a few years before mine. Her's was co-ed the entire time. A party bus took us to New York City for the night to go to a club and we had a lot of fun at that party as well. Sometimes it can be more fun when everyone's involved especially if you have a big group of friends that's co-ed.
