stupid ring!!! :(

     Of course I would fall in love with something that is nearly impossible to find. I LOVE LOVE LOVE black titanium, it is just perfect for me and FI. I found a ring for me and hunted for weeks for a plain black titanium band for FI. I finally found one for 79.00 and ordered it last week. I just got an email from them telling me they don't have his size anymore.
     a simple black titanium band without gemstone or cables or grooves is hard to come by, especially one that isn't $200. :(. We can afford one that is more expensive but it cuts into our honeymoon money. I could also get a black ceramic or black tungsten band, the only problem I would have with that is if our rings didn't quite match because of the different materials, does anyone know if it would make that much of a difference? I'm not really that picky, i just wouldn't want it to be so noticeable that it was tacky...

    Your rings don't need to match.  My sister has white gold, BIL has yellow.  Its fine.  If you want them to match thats fine too, but its not tacky for them to be different.  You two might just have different taste in what you want to wear everyday.   Anyway, I don't know how to help with the rest, but don't worry about matching.

    thanks. it wouldn't bother me that bad to have mixmatched rings i just wasn't sure how tacky it would be. I'm also just heart broken. It was such an awesome deal and I looked so hard. oh well.

    Rings don't need to match.  My parents match, but mine and none of my siblings do.  They don't match their spouse rings.  Not each other.  We might be hilljacks, but we aren't from West Virginia.

    When we found our black titanium rings (we got ours at Kay's, if that matters), they only had it in men's sizes. I custom-ordered mine in my size. It cost a little extra, but he really wanted them to match, so I acquiesced to his request.

    Perhaps you can see if you can special-order the ring you found in his size for a bit extra. <---ETA: Nevermind. They don't have his size. But, this can apply to any other ring you might find in your price range. See how much it is to custom-order a size.

    Otherwise, they don't need to match. No one's going to be demanding for you to show your wedding license as proof if your bands aren't perfectly in sync.

    They don't have to match, it won't be tacky. Go with what you want and can afford.

    They don't need to match. I asked DH if he wanted to match me, but he said no.

    I got him a $65 titanium band which he wore for exactly a week. He doesn't wear any jewelry, not even a watch. We're still very much married.
