OK, I need some suggestions and yes, I am way behind everyone else on this board, so please don't say something about how quickly I need to get this done! I have about 50+ things on my to-do list and am in an intense job for the next two months (and the past year!).
The situation: everyone is pretty much from out of town including myself and fiance (wedding is in Austin, TX). Venue is not attached or associated with a hotel.
Other people have really recommended having a "fresh" new place to stay the night of the wedding as a newlywed couple rather than staying in the groom or bride's original hotel room.
But...if I am getting ready in the hotel on the day of the wedding until about
3:30-4 PM (hair and makeup people are coming to the hotel), how am I going to be able to check out so late without booking another night, which would be a waste of money? And then I have to worry about packing everything up and getting it to the new hotel room, which might not even be in the same hotel.
We are having a post-wedding brunch so I am also not sure if it is worth booking the nice fancy suite on our wedding night or if we should wait until the night of the post-wedding brunch when everyone takes off and we don't have to be somewhere in the morning. What is everyone else doing?
