I saw you out at the tasting tonight but didn't get a chance to introduce myself.  What did you think of the food?

    Aww, I wish you would have! We closed that place down! I think buffet tastings are hard to judge, but it was pretty helpful since my parents have really pushed for a buffet. We surprised ourselves a little and chose the pot roast as our beef dish. We're also having the saltimbocca chicken and probably meat or veggie lasagna.

    What were your thoughts & have you chosen a menu?

    We knew that we would do a buffet from the start.  Our chicken choice really surprised us:  the cordon bleu.  It was something we had never even thought of for our wedding dinner but it is so good!  We're also going with the beef tenderloin.  My only wish is that we could have tried the salad options.

    Ooo, the cordon bleu was pretty good too, as was the stuffed chicken! Too many choices there!

    Salad options would have been nice. I also didn't love the choice in appetizers. Maybe it's because I think of cocktail hour as lighter food, but they seemed like pretty heavy options.

    That was my thought when it came to appetizers as well.  I think we're just going to go with something easy, like cheese and fruit, though, which doesn't really require tasting.

    Cheese, fruit & veggies here too! :)

    I don't know about you, but I was at a lull in planning, and now I'm finally getting excited again! It annoys me when people say it, but September is coming up fast!

    I agree!  I had a couple of months there where I didn't get anything done, but the tasting definitely got me going again as well.  This week alone I have four meetings and am making all sorts of phone calls and plans, etc.
