I got my dress at Victorian Rose Bridals in Raleigh. Daphne there is amazing.

I would research what dresses they have and if there are any styles you like, call around to different dress stores and price it. You may get a better price at a discount store. Also google Pearl's Place, alot of the knotties on here get their dresses from there, it's alot cheaper.

My dress was the cheapest at Pearl's, and Daphne offered to match the price to get me to buy the dress from their store, so I did.

But really, they were super helpful, and super nice.

Yes I second Victorian Rose.  They have a lot of gorgeous high-end dresses.  I found my dress at the Bridal Boutique of Raleigh, which had several nice dresses that I liked.  Like PP said, I ordered it through Pearl's Place (an actual store in Louisiana) and it was A LOT cheaper.

I suggest both Victorian Rose and Traditions by Anna in North Hills. They are both very nice, although I think Traditions is better just because it is a little bit neater in there and they keep their gowns in much better condition.  Both places provide excellent service which may be important for you to have a Kleinfeld-like experience.

Also, depending on your budget, try Alexia's Bridal in Cary. They carry a lot of very high end designers.

Oh, and I haven't been there, but I've heard good things about Tre Bella in Durham.

www.alexiasbridal.com/">Alexia's Bridal Boutique in Cary - fabulous selection but not a budget boutique.  I think it's the best upscale boutique in the RDU area.  The only one I never visted was the one in Durham.

Traditions by Anna and Tre Bella! I didn't buy my dress at either (I found "the one" elsewhere) but I LOVED both stores and the ladies there are fantastic. Tre Bella also does florals and when I found that out I jumped on booking them since I loved their bridal salon so much...

I second this, I ordered my dress and my bridesmaids dresses from Pearl's Place and saved buku's of money. (go find the dress in person first though <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /> )

thanks for everyone's advice!! Im so excited..Ive tried on a couple but haven't found "the one" yet. I really want a dress from jim hjelm that I saw at kleinfeld. Its beautiful but $4000. Who knew dresses for one day could be sooo expensive...but it might be worth it if it looks amazing on me.

I heart Jim Hjelm but they didn't work for my body type at all!  Of the Raleigh boutiques Victorian Rose is the only one I went to who carries JH. Judd Waddell and Romona Keveza are some beautiful designers as well.

I got mine at Lana Addison in Cary. It's a Pronovias and the girls there are super nice. They are the same owners as Alexia's bridal in Cary. The most expensive dress there (Lana Addison) is $3500. Good luck!

I second Lana Addison in Cary! I got my dress there. It's a Vera Wang from a few seasons back. They are high end but moderately priced. They had amazing customer service and made you feel really comfortable and confident. I dreamed of being a Kleinfeld bride too but my budget was not going to get me to Manhattan. I still feel like I had an amazing shopping experience and HIGHLY recommend you visit!
