NWR: AW your pet

Since we have so many pet lovers on this board, post some pictures of your furry friends, what they are, when you got them, the breed if known :-). Turn a rainy monday into pictures of cute pets!

Here are our monsters.  This was shortly after we moved in together and they could actually be in the same room.  Then they sort of deteriorated and started fighting, so they are mostly separated now.  Its FI's cat that's the PITA.  My cat is just large and in charge and wants to play.

This is another one of my cat Remington (Remy).  I have a million pictures of him.

I don't have any dogs, but I wander through the shelter every day and pick out the dogs I would adopt if our place allowed them.

Yay! I'll play (even though I just posted a pic of Kayla a few posts ago).

This is Kayla, we have no idea what mix she is, but she's a love!

These are my parents' dogs, Neyland (as a lobster) and Beau (as a pumpkin). They are 2 year old cocker spaniels, and this was their first halloween. We had never dressed up dogs before, but they were just too adorable.

    Kayla was Jem!

Gingers introduction is posted below, I'll add some pics up here :) (ok a lot of pictures)

This is the picture text I received with the words "meet your new puppy, happy belated birthday"

Then, since she didn't have all of her shots we carried her around in a basket.

She does not like the tub...

    or the snow...

She loves to nap and cuddle..

and the time she had to wear panties because she was in heat..

and of course my siggy, she loves to sun bathe just like her mommy :)

    My baby Coco. He's 13!

Merlin is our cat.  He's about 9 months old now.  He's a Siberian - they are hypoallergenic and DH is allergic.  I wanted to bring my cat Patches from my parents house here with us, but he really coudlnt handle the allergies (his face would blow up!) .. Merlin was a kitten in need of a good home and happened to be from a breeder who breeds Siberians so we drove out to get him.  We actually drove to Maryland to pick him up from the person who had bought him but then changed their mind (why!?  he's *the* best cat ever!!) .. Hiss loss = my gain :)  I adore him.

He comes to wake me up every morning (ignore the clothes on dresser):

Oscar is our dog - he was found in fairmount park beaten and abused, lethargic, boney, cut up, etc.. we nursed him back to health and now he's a big strong boy.

He likes to sleep in bed like a human when his dad is away:

They are best friends (Oscar is like, "I'm not hurting him, he likes it!")

I adopted Rookie on September 11, 2003. He had naps in his hair and his ear was half chewed off.

He's now 8 and completely spoiled...not only by me but by my hubs and his Grandmom too.

    Here's a recent picture:

And one of my favorites from our engagement session:

    OK I will play.
We have three cats, all rescues:

Jinxie is our oldest cat, she's a puker and has serious kitty anxiety and compulsively licks the fur off her belly.  DH can't stand her but she's super cuddly and is glued to my side all the time.

Duke is another rescue, DH found him while on a job.  He was skin and bones and super dehydrated and would open his mouth to meow and nothing would come out.  He's a manx cat (no tail -- see the little stub in the picture?) and is playful like a dog.  He's DH's little buddy.

Our other black cat is Sydney.  DH rescued her as a kitten and I really think she sees us as her parents.  She follows us everywhere and likes to sleep under the covers and always tries to eat whatever we're eating.

The cats sort of tolerate each other but we definitely don't find them snuggling together or anything.

This is Mr. Miyagi.  He's a Pekingese - but a very large one.  I think it's fairly safe to say I'm absolutely obsessed with him.  FI and I are a bit crazy too.  We'll hold conversations with him, where the other person pretends to answer.  It's gotten a bit out of hand, though, as sometimes we'll be in the car talking about the dog and one of us will start to talk like Mr. Miyagi even though he's nowhere around.  We have to stop ourselves every now and again from going completely insane haha.

This is him as a baby 5 years ago:

Here he is now (he has more stuffed animals than a kid does, I think)

I am constantly AWing Mac the Wonder Corgi in my siggy :)

He's a three-year-old Cardigan Welsh Corgi.  We named him after the computer.

This is him as a puppy showing off his many tricks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FFp7SFmCI0

He now also sits up on his hind legs, gives you a high five, waves, spins in a circle, shows you his belly, balances a treat on his nose, and tilts his head in many directions when you say the words "cookie" or "peanut butter".

    I heart him.

I guess I am the outcast here! This is one of our three lizards.  His name is Bizzy D and he is a 7 year old lepord gecko.  He hangs out with me on the couch and gets excited when we walk by his cage!  Our other two lizards, Brassy and Bonzi are both crested geckos and 4 years old.
