Hey Ya'lll Waves... .. So excited to be knottie of the week.. Been on here one year and i finally made it... if you have any questions ask away.. forgive me if i take to long to respond i'm at work but i sure will respond when i get home..

To become a Physician Assistant and eventually open up my own facility in a rural area to help educate our peoples about health care and the importance.. I would also like to open up an etiquette school to teach our young ladies etiquette in a urban area and to show them that even though they may not have much you still have potenital and a future. I feel like my destiny is to make a difference in people lives and help break the cycle of babies having babies.. I truly believe we can help our your women..

I met Cameron , in April 2010 at Fit Challenge. It was on a Monday at 6pm during a cardio rotation class. I was getting it on the bench, and he and his friend were observing the class through the locker area, they either missed the class or did the class before the one that I was in. Anyways, I could feel him staring at me; he took a few extra looks (LOL, of course he will tell you something different). After class, they were still in the locker room and I had seen both of them before, but I couldn't figure it out. So Cameron made small talk with me, asked me my name, how long had I been going to FIT and what days/times I go. I answered him very quickly, "Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday". I then ended the conversation, well good chatting with you, see you around. As I was leaving out and walking to my car, i turned behind me and he was running after me, saying "ah, shorty, slow down". So I say, "What's up”, he says, I would like to get to know you better, maybe go out to eat or drinks or something. I said, "That’s cool" I'll take down your number and we can figure it out. He say, " Don't take my number if your not going to use it, let me just get yours". I was a little hesitant. I reply, what's your name? And I don't mean a nickname, he reply, Cameron Griffin. I say it's very nice to meet you. He gave me his business card and I gave him my number. He tried to get me to go out to eat with him right then and there, but I couldn't, I had homework to do. Anyways, the rest is history.....

10. When did you get engaged and how did he do it??

On Saturday December 24, 2011 Cameron asked me if I would like to go on a Christmas Eve date with him. I replied, of course, something nice, something different, sure. We had some running around to do before dinner. Once we finished our errands, he drove us to Pier W. he had been telling me about the restaurant for awhile. It's located on the west side of Cleveland and it over looks the water and downtown. Breathtaking! We didn't have reservations, so we sat at the bar, before we ordered our meal he wanted to walk around the place and show me the dinning room area and the view, it was so elegant. During the course of our meal, we chatted and laughed, he mentioned after dinner he wanted to take me to the patio area so I could really see the view.

After dinner, we went out to the patio and overlooked downtown and looking at the water. he started showing me different things, and then he turned to me and said, "Keyonna, it's that time, (and all i kept saying was, OH my God, Oh my GOD, oh my God" ) honestly, I can't remember what he said, I know it was something sweet, nice and breathtaking, because I stood there in shock, with a blank stare on my face for like 30 seconds ( according to Cameron) All I know is, I looked down and he was on one knee with a beautiful diamond ring, and I kept saying yes, yes, yes...

In the meantime, the hostess was taking flicks with my camera... LOL ( he had asked to see my camera when we were at the house, to take pictures of the tree, and he never gave it back.) Once reality hit, I just started crying and I couldn't stop. The hostess then invited us back down to the bar for complimentary champagne and we chatted and smiled and started texting away to share the good news.

It was just the two of us on the deck sharing that special and precious moment, it was so romantic and I’m so excited to be marrying my best friend and love of my life.

June 15, 2013......... 159 days to go..

12. Where is the ceremony and reception?
In Cleveland at my church.. and the reception is at the old courthouse downtown... Love this venue..

13. What are your wedding colors?
Eggplant, Fushia, Gold, and chocolate.. hints of reds ( my theme is romance meets class..) if it was up to FI the girls would be in red.. the red is his touch.. he's a Kappa man( i would show ya'll a picture but i'm not at my desk..)

14. Where are you honeymooning? Dominican Republic.. ~punta Cana

15. Favorite wedding vendor so far?

all of them.. everything has been working out so great..

16. Biggest wedding splurge?

def the dress.. Maggie Sotterro~ Tracy.. Love her.... uhhh.. The reception Venue tooo.. we are just paying for the space.. so that means everything must be rented from tables to silverware.. oh yea, have i meantioned they don't have a kitchen.. Yikes.. but that's where the caterer comes in at ...

17. What is something you wish you could have at the wedding but don't?
My moms father and my older brother (he is in jail) and of course all of my knottie sistahs..
18. Another knottie wedding you'd like to attend?
All of you... :-)
19. Favorite book?
Uhhh.. I did read the fifty shades series most recent and it was cool.. i like patterson books, i'm pretty open to read anything.. i actually have a book club..

20. Favorite movie?

I like a lot of movies.. uhhh.. Love and basketball, bridesmaid, bride wars, the hangover. LOL.. uh the help.. I like a lot of movies.. how to lose a guy in 10 days, etc...

21. Favorite tv show?

LOL the Cosby.. I can watch all of them.. LOL.. Martin, food network.. bride shows... ti and tiny.. etc..

22. Favorite wedding dress designer?

I love love love me som Maggie.. i love her..

23. Any advice you can give?

Wedding related... don't lose site about the importance of the day.. although we all want our fairytail wedding, it's just one day... and it's only about you and your husband to be..

also keep people out your personal life...esp when you get married.. everybody is not happy for you and the enemy can get busy.. so if you and your fi or hubby having a bad day don't go telling the man or women at work, pray and keeep it moving. marriage is so sacred... Also always communicate if you do nothing else and remember to always tell each other how you feel and never go to bed mad.. we are a working progress and God is working on us both.. Love me some him...

24. Anything you wish you could change about your wedding?

Girl yes, have a destination.. lmao.. he wanted this 250 person wedding and counting.. LOL..

I am very nice but easily bothered. LOL.. um, i do not do scary movies. or scary anything... and i am not on any social network except TK (not really a a social network) and pinterest.. .. i'm funny about people knowing whats going on in my life.. I am soooooooo scared of dogs. LOL. all jokes aside, i do not go to ppl houses with dogs and i walk on the other side of the street if i see one coming.. Um, i am very excited to be married and start my family.. so ready to pop one out.. LOL..

Awwww Key Key! My first BBF on TK! I'm so happy you are getting your chance to be KOTW! I of course have always loved you and Cam's story. You two are so made for each other! So about these dogs.. Girl i am sooooooooo scared.. you hear me.. my heart start beating fast, i start sweating, i'm just nervous..As a kid, my mom said i was playing with on and then it turned against me and snapped at me it didn't bite me but almost did, and from there, I didn't mess with them.. Everybody always say they dog is nice and don't bite, i trust them from a distance.. LOL.. I can come visit, just not coming in the house. LOL.. :-)... LOL and i'm scared of bunnies too.. Haaaa.. i don't do no animals.. so scary. LOL... SMH

and please tell me you are not that afraid of dogs LOL LOL now dont get me wrong im not big dog lover or animal lover to say the least but i aint afraid of em' LOL...

Heyyy Girl.. Nice to meet you too.. Yes I am afraid of every type of dog, big small, wide or tall. LOL.. But Girl it's so hard not to tell my bestie stuff, but it's a little eaiser because we don't have a similiar situation.. so i don't feel comfy getting advice from her regarding my relationship.. but i do have a tendacy to chat with my mom.. But i do seek advice from the old and seasoned couples, i love hearing their input about marriage and etc... the thing about friends is, they def feed off your relationship when things aren't going that great. You know.. so i just choose to keep most stuff between us and God, that's what's marriage is about anyway.. right..

Nice to meet you Key!!! Love the way you & FI met lol & the engagement was beautiful!!! We have many of the same favorite movies, FI is a Kappa too & both have the same fear!!! "i do not go to ppl houses with dogs and i walk on the other side of the street if i see one coming" THIS IS SOOOO ME!!! People always think I'm joking when I tell them I dont like dogs & am deathly afraid. They claim they'll keep the dog outside or upstairs then when I get there they let the dog out b/c they think it's funny & I leave..Left my friend's birthday party b/c she thought i was joking -_- told her i'd leave her wedding & funeral too if there's a dog there AINT GOT TIME!

I probably would stop talking to them.. LOL.. I honestly sit by the door if someone say they have a dog but he locked up.. Unless he is in a cage i don't trust it.. I have been to too many people houses and they say the dog can't get out and then some how while i'm there the dog get lose.. and their response... also keep people out your personal life...esp when you get married.. everybody is not happy for you and the enemy can get busy.. so if you and your fi or hubby having a bad day don't go telling the man or women at work, pray and keeep it moving. marriage is so sacred... Also always communicate if you do nothing else and remember to always tell each other how you feel and never go to bed mad.. we are a working progress and God is working on us both... COULDNTVE SAID THIS BETTER MYSELF!!!!

I feel you about the dogs. I am the same way. Hubby wants a dog :-( I told him the dog's poop can't be any bigger than a cheese doodle or no deal LOL. I'm trying.
