Hi All,
I have kind of a weird problem. My father passed away 20+ years ago and my brother in law is going to walk me down the aisle. I need to find a gift for him as a thank you and have no idea what to get. He is a pilot but I'd like to stay away from airplane type things. The obvious answer would be to ask my sister what to get - but therein lies the problem. They are 'on the verge' of splitting up. (Both are coming to the wedding and will behave.) If I ask her what to get - I'll get some kind of snarky answer. Example? She is coming here and is making our wedding cake. When I asked her if he helps her make it or what will he do while she's baking it (we live in the country so its not like there is really much to entertain yourself!) she said - I have no idea what he'll do if anything. That helps.
I really like him and we get along really well which is why I asked him if he'd walk me down the aisle. I'd like to give him a special gift for doing it and putting up with my sister but I'm drawing a complete blank here.
What did you all get/give for the person walking you down the aisle?
