Wedding Cake

Hi, I spoke with a lady from this bakery called Cake Flour on Market street and she said typically a wedding cake costs $3 per person. Is this average?
Also, could I have a 3 tier cake for 110 people?

Yes, that's a typical price.  Three tier sizes serve 75, 100, or 130.

I paid that price and people are still talking about our wedding cake!

They have a great reputation for their baked goods. I'm not familiar with their wedding cakes, but I'm sure just as much care goes into those as well.

I think $3 per slice is pretty standard... mine is less than that but its because im using buttercream instead of the popular fondant

I haven't priced wedding cakes in Louisville, but in Evansville it's anywhere from $1.75-3 a slice. I found a lady that does it out of her home though that is charging me $1.50. Yay!

I do know that if you go with a square cake it will feed more people and may help cut down the size needed and cost as well.

I haven't priced any at bakery's though as my Mom does cakes and will be doing mine. So I have no idea what it cost to have it done elsewhere.
