Hi, all!

I'd love to gather your reviews of the different Las Vegas hotel rooms where you've stayed. I'm in the process of telling my guests what hotels I'd recommend for their stay, but I've only stayed a couple places. TIA!

Here are mine:

Golden Nugget - I stayed once in 2005 (pre-renovation?) and it was a nice, basic hotel room. Stayed in the Tower.

MGM Grand - I've stayed here 6 times in as many years - Marquee Suite (huge but overpriced - I was upgraded when they ran out of rooms), Terrace Suite (amazing views, great deck for night-time parties), Bungalow Queen Suite (nice sitting area), and regular Grand Tower room (good standard rooms, especially if on sale).

THEhotel at Mandalay Bay - FI & I stayed here on our first trip in THEsuite. Wonderful, large room and the biggest soaking tub I've ever seen in a hotel. I'm 5'9" and could lay down completely in the tub and be under water. We heard an obnoxious whistle at the main door because it wasn't sealed all the way. Two bathrooms and a living room are a nice bonus.

Signature at MGM Grand - I've only been in the room, not stayed here. However, the 1-bedroom suites are large, modern, bright, and clean. The balcony is fantastic.

I've only been to Vegas twice, but you didn't mention either one of my hotels, so I figured I would contribute.

Mirage (Queen Deluxe) - Got a good price on a last minute package. It was hard to believe that our room was the most basic that the hotel offered. Very clean and modern. Also, the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Great location on the strip too. Would definitely recommend The Mirage to anyone.

Excalibur (Standard Room) - We decided to go as cheap as possible in order to up our budget for shows. There wasn't anything wrong with our room, but it wouldn't cut it for anyone who spends much time relaxing at the hotel. Also, it's a little too far down the strip for my liking. (Though it would be a great location for a MB wedding guest on a budget.) We did have an awesome view of the strip though.

Luxor: very basic room but within a short (air conditioned) walk to Mandalay. Very thematic for those guests looking for something "vegasy" I stayed in one of the towers, not the pyramid, which I hear is a benefit a/c wise (the windows in the pyramid rooms make them bake like ovens in the afternoons). My favorite part of the room was the v. large, super deep bathtub. Great for relaxing and healing those aching feet. From what I understand, Luxor is pretty inexpensive.

Cosmopolitan: Whoever at my company booked this hotel for our annual sales conference deserves a promotion. It was AMAZING. Very modern and new, lots of upgraded electronics. Doesn't have the best reviews customer service wise on trip advisor, but I found everyone we encountered to be wonderful. They had a mix up with my reservation and I got upgraded to a king wraparound balcony, at the same room rate as the "city room" (basic room). Very comfortable beds and fantastic bath amenities. This hotel spoiled me for all future hotels.

I stayed at Mgm SIgnature in the one bedroom suite....so beautiful! The view was beautiful it had a fridge and a microwave. Oh and two bathrooms. No tube though just a shower. We loved it.
I stayed at Mandalay Bay standard room and it was goregous. Huge tube, nice room only thing is FI was hot.
I stayed at Excalibur to go cheap on an unexpected extra night and I hated it! I hope I don't offend anyone but I thought it was cheap and horrible. The light switch was barely on the wall. There was 3 flyers for pizza in the door when we walked in. I just hated it! I'll never stay there again. Oh and when we left the casino we smelled like an ash tray and we werent next to anyone smoking.

A lot of my wedding guest are staying at the Luxor since my wedding is at the Bay. They found rooms for $42.00 a night for Wednesday and Thursday. My wedding is on a Thursday afternoon and most are leaving on Friday so it works out well.

Aria (basic room)- Beautiful, modern rooms. Love the hotel. The bathrooms are big and beautiful, comfy bed, and a remote that controlled the whole room. The casino doesn't have a smokey smell, Jean Phillipe is located in the casino, connection to Monte Carlo,and close to my favorite part of the strip. Would love to stay here in the future.

Vdara (standard suite)- I've stayed here 3 times and have a great experience each time. Clean modern rooms and they are all suites. They have a mini kitchen and I enjoy having the fridge. The bathtub is an amazing tub for a soak. My favorite part is that it is non-gaming and non-smoking so it feels like a bit of a retreat from the strip. It has a connection to the Bellagio, and it is easy to get to Aria, Cosmo, and PH.

I thought all Signature rooms had whirlpool tubs and separate showers, especially the one-bedroom suites? That's top of the list for my FI, so I want to make sure :) Thanks! :)

We were upgraded so maybe it wasn't the one bedroom suite. Maybe it was a junior suite. It was beautiful but I would ask to make sure it has the tube because that is what we wanted but when we got to the room and called down they said they upgraded us and who can complain about an upgrade? Lol!

The first time we went to Vegas we stayed in a regular king suite at the Venetian and loved it. The room was just beautiful, spacious with a sunken living room and a big marble bathroom that had double sinks, separate shower and tub, flatscreen and vanity.

For the wedding we stayed at the Wynn in a Tower Salon suite... hands down the most gorgeous hotel suite we've ever set foot into (more details in my bio). My mom had a regular king suite at the Wynn that was really beautiful. She particularly loved the wide floor-to-ceiling-wall-to-wall window with the spectacular view.

I am so a Wynn girl. After staying in a parlor suite nothing really compares to it. Planet Hollywood-twice- great location and you can get really good rates if you catch a good sale. Since Caesars entertainment took over I think it went downhill. It was a nice place for a middle of the road budget. Both times we got upgraded to a resort room. The bathtub had a window that looked over to the bellagio fountains. Loved it. Plus, there is an Earl of Sandwich in the casino, which I love! LOL. Wynn Tower Suites- Parlor Suite- 3 times- best hotel I have ever stayed in Vegas. Second time we went it was a remodeled parlor and it was awesome. They are done in cream and gold now. Beautiful. The level of service in the Wynn Tower suites is amazing. They will get you anything you need and not blink an eye. I know it's costly here, but it really is worth it. Mandalay Bay- vista suite and regular room- we actually went to Vegas the last week of April and stayed in a regular room. It was nice, but the Bay needs a facelift inside. Some of the furniture was older and worn.In May we got The Vista for wedding and it was really nice. It was clean and the carpet looked newer. We had it for 5 nights and it was worth it. This was the past year and a half stays. I just booked the Wynn for September, and booked a MGM skyloft for our anniversary... I saw an article on Vegas Tripping about MGM dropping the rate, and with the coupon code it worked out great! Also, I am pretty sure we are going to swing a new years trip but I want to stay at the Cosmo for that. A balcony and fireworks? Oh yeah.

Excalibur- just a run of the mill basic room that I actually used a coupon for from a tourist book. It was great as far as a basic hotel room goes and I had a great view of the strip.

Rodeway Inn- I stayed here when I was backpacking across the States as it was actually cheaper than the hostel and I got a room with a private bath to myself instead of sharing which was great value when backpacking. It was actually better than I ever expected. A basic room but great beds and bathroom and cleaning was always done well.

Tahiti Village- One bedroom unit- it was god but we lucked out and got a good view (a lot of people get the carpark view). Clean and friendly staff no complaints

Summerbay resort- I have stayed here twice (once in the old location and once at the new location) and I really like it. They have great rooms and who can complain when you have a pool just outside your room! Great staff and clean and fantastic shuttle services. This is where we and our guests are staying for our wedding.

Mirage- Like PP said, rooms are very clean and modern these days. Great location, great eateries on site, and the pool rocks. Highly recommended.

Paris- Stayed in '07. Also a very clean and modern room, and it's a fun "theme" casino-resort; feels like it's on the upscale side. Didn't visit the pool there so I can't speak to that.

Monte Carlo- For one of the lower-priced hotels on the Strip, I was VERY pleasantly surprised about my stay here. Room was totally fine-- very clean. Lobby is gorgeous, and pool looked really nice, though I didn't get to go in as it was February.

Excalibur- Totally fine for a budget stay, though if you have more expensive tastes, stay away. The pool area is actually pretty decent (FI and I went to the pool for a couple of hours every day, both times that we've stayed there). Rooms are dated, but they get the job done. Good food court, and buffet is okay and gets points for being one of the cheaper ones on the Strip.

Luxor- Stayed in a Tower Room once, then again in a Penthouse Suite for a second stay. Both times were totally fine...not sure why Luxor gets so much haterade, usually. To be fair, I've never stayed in a regular Pyramid room and I get the impression that's where a lot of the gripes come from.

WYNN - Simply the best. I have stayed over 5x and i will never go anywhere else!

Bellagio - Nice

Hotel 32 at Monte Carlo - Not Bad

I cannot judge any other hotels, I have only walked in a few...

Like the beach boys, I get around:

MGM: regular room and a junior suite. Liked the lazy river pool and cabanas.
Four Seasons: Awesome room. I didn't foot the bill though so no comments on cost but very nice
theHOTEL: regular suite the week they opened and I'll be staying again in December for the half marathon. Great rooms, nice tub. I don't like to gamble at the MB though.
Excalibur: basic room. Will stay if super desperate. It's a place to rest your head
Luxor: ditto Excalibur
Monte Carlo: regular room and a suite in need of a facelift. good location and good rates. Nice tub in the suite
Flamingo: request a tower room
Aladdin (now PH): Basic room...nothing special. Generic.
Bally's: see above. I didn't stay here; I visited friends in their room.
Wynn: beautiful hotel. great service. check online for better deals. loved the tower suite cabanas but the service there for booking was not great (according to my friend). would stay again if we had friends staying for an event (like last year)
Hilton Grand Vacations-strip: no casino but you can get a 2 bedroom for a decent price. Check SWA vacations as they have a block of rooms here
Las Vegas Hilton-pass. Our room was dirty and the hotel service left something to be desired
Nellis Air Force Base Best Western Lodge-yeah, pass
The Station hotels (Henderson): I haven't stayed at the Palace in LV but I have stayed at Sunset and I think there is another that FI always stays at when he's in town for work. Great rates but not in Vegas
4 Queens- yeah, I wouldn't recommend it unless you are trying to go campy.
Golden Nugget-gold room, gold club room, rush tower room, spa tower suite: for the money, hands down the best hotel for us. Get a suite for the same price as a strip hotel, be close to cheap gaming and fun entertainmnet, great pool and cabanas, poolside bj, friendly staff. I love it so.

I have gamed at nearly every hotel on the strip. I prefer Casino Royale (if it is not crowded, which it can be) or Riviera. Of course, downtown works best for us if we are going to Vegas just to be in Vegas.

Luxor: standard room- ehh, its okay...if you get it on sale. Even with the tram and walkway to Excalibur, it has a terrible location. Room was dated.

Planet Hollwood: We had a fountain view room which we got for the same price as the basic room during a vegas.com promo. Amazing views of the strip and GREAT location. And with Miracle Mile Shops....what more could a girl ask for?

MGM: Grand Tower room- TERRIBLE!! See my wedding reviews.

Caesars Palace: Deluxe, Palace Tower-Beauitful, newly remodeled room with lovely views of the pools...quite a hike from the front lobby though. Ours had 2 bathrooms with a 2 person shower and a 2 person jetted tub. My opinion, extremly overpriced, our room came with our ceramony package...so we didnt pay for it.

Imperial Palace: Classic Room-My dad & stepmom stayed here, but H & I went up there a few times. Granted the hotel & casino are dated but you can get really good deals and in a prime location.

Trump: Suite Strip View-H's grandparents stayed here and our recpetion was here. They loved their room...actually said it was the best hotel they have ever stayed at. Their room had a kitchenette area and a floor to cieling window with a stunning view of the strip.

I've stayed at:

Ballys: generic, boring, sometimes dirty (found a used condom behind the tv stand). Unless they've refurbished in the past three years, their suites tower rooms were very dated and the showers weren't very strong.

Caesars: stayed in one of the newer towers and slept on the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. It was so good, on the checkout day I took the covers off the pillows and mattress to figure out who made them and ended up ordering the exact same thing for my home. Rooms were very contemporary. I'm not sure which tower name it is but it's the one that is along Flamingo closer to Las Vegas Blvd, which is not as new as the one further away just behind it so perhaps that one is even nicer.

Paris: slightly nicer than Ballys but nothing to write home about.

Palms: nice and contemporary; clean. Have not encountered any adjoining doors (I hate them) in their base rooms.

Palms (fantasy suite/penthouse building, 1500 sq ft+): very nice, same caliber as Mandalay/THEHotel's large suites but a little fancier (remote control to operate the curtains, tv and lights versus MB's wall-mounted controls for example) and a little naughtier (stripper pole and party window you can make clear or opaque in the shower).

Palms Place: awesome; stayed in a 1500 sq ft suite with a wraparound balcony on the outside so you can see the mountains and strip. There was a huge bathtub in the bedroom near the window and a massive bathroom/shower, full kitchen, etc. Bed wasn't anything super but wasn't bad either. Ten minute walk to get to the casino.

Mandalay base room and base room strip view: mostly clean, contemporary, but hve always had adjoining doors which I hate with a passion, and they're noisy. I gamble all night so I hate noisy rooms. I won't stay in their base room.

Mandalay SkyView suite: I really like these, but they're only worth it if you get a strip view because the mountain view basically just looks at the interstate and THEHotel tower. The strip view is fantastic and the rooms are very nice and quiet. Some of them do have adjoining doors but it's not in the bedroom and they're much better insultated than the base rooms so I never heard neighbors.

THEHotel H suite and L suite: these are incredible and huge, but as mentioned earlier in the Palms area, not quite as fancy. It's not like they're lacking in any way, just Palms is a little newer and nicer, but Palms doesn't treat their gamblers anywhere near as nice so better off going where the rewards lead you if you're getting one of these via comps but maybe go to the Palms if you're spending money on it.

Stratosphere: nasty and disgusting; don't do it.

Luxor: haven't stayed but have seen rooms friends stayed in; the tower rooms are not too bad run of the mill hotel rooms; the pyramid rooms are dated and can be dirty.

My future trips to Vegas will probably be split between MB and Caesars going forward since MB treats you really well if you're a gambler but Caesars is the best location on the strip for easy shopping, partying, etc.

been going to Vegas with my family since I was about 14 and have probably stayed at more hotels then I can remember but here's the ones I do remember

Venetian Rialto suite - great sunken living room, service is great, tao pool is killer and tao nightclub is gorg. canal shops are excelent lots of high end stores. good feel very cultured place. modern stuff.
Statosphere - strip view premier and tower premier rooms - good views, dont stay in the rooms much. basic stuff in the rooms.
caesars and mgm grand - standard rooms at both. nothing amazing, dated furniture. pools at both are nice.
wynn tower king - love the Wynn. impecable service, modern amenities, very LGBT friendly, great food, clean rooms, plasma tvs. can go on and on about the Wynn. great views. almost booked them for our wedding.
Platinum hotel - getting married here and reception. stayed in every type of room they have. fav is strip view princess suite. pool area is not great, but they have full kitchen and washer and dryers. lots of LGBT events here and they are always classy.
green valley ranch - best buffet off strip. drop bar is excellent, always win at the casino. love the morrocan/egyptian theme, pool area is so great, love the shopping. stayed in standard rooms and a tuscany suite. clean rooms, great decor, comfy furniture, ok views good service.
M resort - resort room is great, bathroom view of the strip. went to a party at a loft suite and it rocked my world. plasma tv in the ceiling, lots of marble, bar area, 2 floors, pool is nice but crowded and loud. lots of locals. buffet includes beer, wine, champagne and is cheap, just opened Hash House Go Go and huge portions. decent casino.

The one bedroom suites do have whirlpool tubs. FI and I stay there all the time actually gonna stay there the night after our wedding. since our wedding will not be on the strip.

It's nice to read the reviews - very helpful. A lot of them reiterate what I've heard from my friends.

Right now, we're debating between Signature and THEhotel for our week-long wedding stay - and we're both leaning towards Signature. Apparently you can walk out Tower 3 and it puts you right near City Center. It'd be nice to be closer to that area.

We stayed in a jr suite @ the Signature for our honeymoon and had a separate whirly tub and shower. It was amazeballs! I loved their toiletries too, smelled devine.

I've only stayed at 2 hotels:

NYNY - regular delux room was ok. Dated obviously but clean. What was awful was the walk to get to the room from the elevator was CRAZY..if we were to stay there again I would request a room closer to the elevator. I did love the little food court though. Every morning DH and I had coffee, a croissant and yogurt for breaky for $4 each.

MGM - hollywood suite was great for us. It's also dated but clean and for the money it's a great deal...cheaper than a regular room and a nicer hotel! We fit 15 people in it a few times during our wedding week and it never felt too full. The room is at the end of the hall, but the walk wasnt that far. The hotel is a zoo but once I knew my way around it didnt bother me a bit. We had zero trouble with check in/out and extending out stay in the suite. Our wedding was at their chapel and they cancelled the resort fees for us and all our guests who mentioned our wedding.

I forgot about this thread! I'm throwing in my 2 cents:

MGM Grand West Wing room: we stayed here our first trip to Vegas in 2005 and it was nice. Didn't really care for the fact the toilet had very little privacy, just a door. The tv in the bathroom mirror was cool, but not really necessary. I don't remember the floor we were on but we were far away from the main casino floor. The West Wing bar was nice, but $10 for an amaretto sour, come on. Studio Cafe is always great - best breakfast burrito and overpriced glass of OJ I've ever had. Love love love the pools at MGM. They are busy but they have some many!

Planet Hollywood fountain view room: $20 got us upgraded here and free internet for 3 days. Great view from the 34th floor, no resort fees, good pool. The furniture was a little old and worn. Bathroom was pretty spacious. Planet Dailies Cafe was mediocre, the service at Yolo's was terrible, but PF Chang's was great. I only wish I had known Earl of Sandwich was open 24 hours. They had decent sandwiches and the frozen lemonade was great. I like the Miracle Mile, and the overall feel of PH.

Caesars Palace deluxe room Palace Tower: our wedding package included 2 nights here and it was awesome sauce. Caesars had one of, if not the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on! Great view of the pools, I think we were on the 12th or 17th floor. The bathroom was nice and their toiletries smell amazing. I don't know what they use but it's really nice. There's a coffee shop type of place, Payard Patisserie on the casino floor in this tower and they have an great express line option for do it yourself coffee or pre-made/pre-packaged items like pastries and bottled juice. It saved us a lot of time one morning.

MGM Signature junior suite: I can't say enough nice things about The Signature. I love it. I really enjoy that it's non smoking and non gaming, but connected to MGM Grand if you want to be a part of the action. You can also use the pools at the main MGM property, or the heated ones at The Signature. It's so laid back and luxurious, if I could do it all again, we would have stayed there the whole time we were in Vegas. We didn't have a full kitchen, but it had everything. A fridge, dishes, stove, you name it. I wish we had stayed here all week, we could have brought home left overs from the reception. The bed was also wonderful, and so was the spa tub. If you get a chance to, eat at Delights for breakfast it was great!

Rio standard suite: my mom and sister stayed here for the wedding but I booked the room. The room itself was really nice, very clean and spacious. The customer service was fairly lame. I requested a room close to the elevator because my mom had recently had knee surgery a few months prior to the wedding and was walking with a cane. I understand they cannot guarantee room types, but assured me they could accomodate her disability. When we checked in, the room they had was on the far side of the hotel and far down a hall way. They said they didn't have another room available that was clean, and my mom was tired and cranky from the flight so we took it. The room had been prepaid by my credit card, but they still wanted a credit card for damages. Fine, I gave them my card. They told me they couldn't authorize my card for the damage deposit, it had to be a hard charge and then get refunded at check out. I'd never heard of this, and I've stayed at enough hotels to know you can authorize a certain amount. But I didn't feel like arguing so I said eff it. It did get refunded on check out. They just could have been nicer about it and said that's their policy instead of giving a lame song and dance. My mom won some good money on the penny slots they have but the casino wasn't much to write home about.

Imperial Palace standard room: most of the groomsmen and my MIL stayed here. The rooms were basic and clean. Good gambling and good location on the strip.
