I was sooo excited about my photographer but they turned out to be a whole mess of disappointment! I was promised so many things at the consultation. My package included engagement ssitting and photos, never happened, they kept talling me the weather was too bad and the pictures wouldnt come out right. I paid for 2 professional and expierenced photographers for my big day. What I got was a part time free lance photographer and a brand new photographer. Neither girl knew what they were doing or what kind of poses to shoot. They were nice but had to be told by wedding party members what pictures to take.
None of my formals are centered in the church. In the formals some people have thier hands crossed while others have thier hands flat. My book has blurry unfocused pictures in it. They did not get a single shot of the whole head table. We had to search for the photographer for afull half hour before the ceremony to take photos in the bridal suite.
It took over 4 months of terrible customer service to even be able to place my order. I was told my order would take 6-8 weeks to be completed.....it really took 14 weeks. I would call and have to leave several messages a month before I would get a return phone call, same with emails.
When I was finally able to go pick up my package the owner told me that the pictures weren't centered because the church was set up wrong, the blurry pictures were the fault of the lighting at the reception. The formals (hand placements, people placements etc) were the fault of the girls' dress lengths and because girls should know not to clasp thier hands in front of them. Ben the owner told me "I was obviously a bride that would never be happy". Who treats thier customers this way??
I was in no way shape or form a Bridezilla, the one photographer even commented on my wedding day in the limo on the way to the church that I was the calmest bride she had ever met! I loved everything else about my wedding. Our DJ was great (and very affordable) Nightbeat Entertainment. My flowers were from Thrifty Florists and they were beautiful! Our church and reception hall were great, they really helped in every step of the planning and delivered when it came time to celebrate our union.
I was married 1 year ago (April 09), I began picking pictures for my books and loose prints in May 09, I just picked them up this past Saturday 3/13/10. I am upset about the quality of my photos. But I am more upset that this company would treat thier customers this way. I have never been treated so rudely before in my life.
I do not want another Bride to have to suffer what I have dealt with in the last year, and unfortunately what I will remember whenever I look at my photos. They have definitely left a very bad taste in my mouth. So please be forewarned, Ben and Nicole from Artistic Event Services in Livonia, MI are excellent salespeople but do not back up anything they tell you in the initial consultation.
