honeymoons?

Hey ladies!

So FI and I have been all around the map choosing honeymoon spot. We're on a bit of a budget so we won't be able to do our dream honeymoon of going to Australia, Fiji or the Maldives...

We really want a place where we can do some relaxing and beach laziness, but also adventures. Also, we'd really like a really nice private hotel roomo with a balcony or patio with a nice view and maybe even a private pool or jacuzzi.

This is, of course, our absolute wish list, but I was hoping you ladies could maybe share some ideas or suggestions on honeymoons...

Thanks!

You and I had the same honeymoon dream!  We wanted to go to Fiji and Australia...but the flight was CRAZY expensive!

We went on an all-inclusive vacation back in August (where he proposed) and found it to be the best budget-friendly way to travel!!!

We booked our honeymoon to Aruba!  it has an option to do all-inclusive, so we are going to do 5 of the 10 days all-included....

But I'm not much help, because we are using our timeshare, so its a flat fee of $189 for us for 10 days at the hotel (would have been 2K!) and I'm using my delta skymiles, so we only had to pay $164 in taxes as opposed to $1400.

our vacation in August was BREEZES resort...start with them...they always have packages!  We loved it!

We downsized our wedding so we could take a honeymoon to Australia.  Have you looked into Hawaii.  That is one our favorite places.  If you plan it well and get a good flight deal, it isn't too bad.  Weather is great in January too.  I'd also recommend Aruba.

There are some places in mexico and can't remember if its alcapulco or cabo, where you can rent a condo or small house with a pool on the beach or very near. One of my co-workers rented a house for there wedding in alcapulco on the beach with a pool and all services, but it was a masion type of house so it was a lot more pricery, so maybe you can find something on a smaller scale and do something like this. Hey Jen!

Try Paradisus Palma Real in Puntaa Cana D.R they have private rooms for couples and the hotel is amazing! check out MK tours in Miami they always have great deals and the hotel is all inclusive, it is a NICE hotel I think is 5 stars. The special rates are from Miami. Good Luck!!!

I recommend Puntaa Cana, DR as well!! My husband and I went to the Iberostar Grand Bavaro and it was SO amazing. It's all-inclusive, adults-only, access to 3 Iberostar resorts, swim up bar, no "chair games", fantastic food (steak and lobster available at every meal), complimentary couples massage for honeymooners, etc etc. It was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had (though it was REALLY hard coming back to Boston after that).

Also, some of the rooms in the pack have semi-private swim up pools that lead right to the balconies.

Look in to St. Lucia - they offer beach & mountains! There are lots of adventurous things to do there, aside from laying out on the beach. A budget-friendly place I've heard of is the Jalousie Plantation. My best friend went for her HM and loved it! I believe every villa has a private plunge pool/jacuzzi.

Try luxurylink.com - they sometimes have amazing deals.

    Good luck!
