CP Brides and Outside Photography!

I have good news for Caesar's brides in regards to using outside photographers!

Valerie sent me our contract yesterday, and under the photo/video policies it states "Photography releases are available through the photography department if one is looking to waive all rights to qualified photo or video to supply their own vendors.  If a release is signed, no compensation is given for any part of photography or videography related services not chosen to be utilized and a fee will apply for use of said outside vendor.  Caesars Palace is not liable for the actions, product, etc of outside bendor."

I just got off the phone with her to clarify the policy, because it sounded to me like I should be able to use Todd instead of their photographer.  She spoke with the photography department manager, and told me I would be able to use Todd for the $200 fee.

Just thought I'd put that out there for anyone considering CP, or any brides who may have overlooked it in their contracts. :)

    Wow that's very good news; that will put their chapel back on the option list for many people who didn't go with them simply for that reason.

    Yes you can pay an outside vendor fee of $200 and forfeit all photography portions in your package.  Yep been there done that.

    you can also use both photographers.  i mentioned this on another thread, but i'm having my own photographer come in and then we are also having the CP photographer that's included in our package shoot the ceremony. 

    we did have to pay the $200 fee and also sign a waiver saying that they're not responsible for 'lack of quality shots due to there being another photographer' type of thing, but we will still get to pick out shots and get the prints included in our package.

    Good to hear! For a while there you couldn't even have an outside photog with a fee.

    Hi all. I contacted my WC and she said this was false :-(. I wont push the issue though.

    ok, well i have it in writing from my WC at CP, so that's what we're planning on doing.  and if anyone stops me, i'll simply pull out the email where it says 'yes, you can do this.'

    i was very specific about what i wanted to do and i received the go ahead on all.....

    exactly. whether it is accurate or not they already put it in writing so you are good to go.

    I asked Valerie if she could modify my contract to state that I can use an outside photographer for the fee.  She got back to me within half an hour with a new contract.  Very pleased with my CP experience thus far. :)
