checked out wedding bands this weekend HELP

Fiancé and I went wedding band shopping yesterday. I knew going into this part that I would have a hard time because of the shape of my ring (pic below). I really don’t want to have anything special made because A) it will be 3-4x as much I hear from jewelers and B) jewelers have said they will need to hold onto my e-ring for 6-8 weeks while the band is made. I tried a few things on yesterday and have decided that I think it looks best with a top and bottom band to balance it out. But, nothing really fits or hugs around the ring! Anyone else have suggestions?? Or in a similar position?? I definitely want a pave band…. We only went to 1 place so far, there are 2 more places I want to check out (including the place where fiancé got my ring). And has anyone got something specially made? Does it really take that long?

I actually tried looking for you but there was not much curved pave-set bands- which is actually surprising considering that styles of your ring are very popular (it's very pretty by the way!)

My e-ring is very thick and I wanted something flush - I did not want the wed band sitting lower.  We didn't have to have it made - after searching some of the big box stores & place my FI bought it, we found a small independent jeweler that actually had something that fit perfectly (Pic in bio).  I would definitely shop around a little more and maybe try some of those smaller places, they might even be more willing to work something out for you.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you if the timing is correct- but it does sound like it is since it took almost a month to get mine in because they had to custom make it in the size (channel set diamond rings are not supposed to be sized).

    Good Luck!

Looks like you're in Baltimore not far away from me.  Washington Diamond is in Falls Church, VA which isn't far away from my work.  Let me know and I can swing by for a quick look.

I would check out some smaller jewlers, often times they will do the same work for less. I would also check out Kay jewlers... I know at one point they had pave set curved.

cmeyer3946 - thanks, that is really sweet of you to offer to stop in! It's probably best that I have my ring with me to see if something fits with it. But, we got my e-ring in Bethesda (Charleston Alexanders) so maybe we can make a day trip & try the store you talked about too if you think it has good variety.

thanks everyone!! I will just keep looking and looking at different places!!
