Dress Alteration Suggestions

Does anyone have a suggestion for dress alterations. I bought my dress a Pearls, but have heard too many bad stories about alterations there. I am an out of town bride and do not want to waste time with fittings that ultimately I am not happy with.

    I recommend contacting Bustles and Bows. I did not end up getting my dress there but their service was INCREDIBLE. They are so sweet and so helpful. I went back to get my veil from them.     Lol, my friends had their dresses (one was bride, the other was BM) altered at Pearls and it was a total catastrophe.

    Best wedding advice ever: don't let the alterations people at Pearl's or Linda Lee touch you dress!!   My friend bought her dress and had it altered at Bustles and Bows and the lady did a great job!  I'm having mine altered by a lady named Vinny.  She really knows what she is doing. She works out of Wedding Belles on Magazine.  She is doing my wedding gown and she had done a bridesmaid dress that I wore for someone else's wedding.

    No experience w Mimi's but the estimate for my dress was $500/ $550 but she doing a lot of work.  It's 6 layers of lace and since I bought it off the rack it's a size 10 and I am only about a size 4.  It's also about meant for someone about a half foot taller than me!
