Okay, so I've been running through a list of a million different color options for my wedding. As I mentioned before my FI is wearing his Army dress blues and I want the colors from the rest of the bridal party to compliment him. I decided to stay with a medium shade of blue and soft yellow. But, I love the look of throwing some purple in the mix as well. What do you think? Yay or nay?

We're getting married at Kindred Oaks in Austin, TX.

I'm shooting for the whole.. rustic, wildflower, country sweetheart wedding.
 Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)

    I think a brighter/darker purple would look better with blue and yellow.  I guess it really depends on the shade of blue.

    Best suggestion I've had yet - go to Home Depot or another paint store and grab paint swatches of colors you want.  It really helps!

    I vote a shade of purple that's not the same value as the blue you're going with - I think if they're too similar they'll blend into each other too much, since blue and purple are such similar colors. So either dark purple or light purple - a light purple against a light yellow would still pop since they're complimentary colors!

    my FI is wearing his Air Force dress blues also, and I put my girls in a sangria color and have lavender flowers for them. The colors look really nice together =)

    I like the Home Depot idea and I agree it really depends on the shade of blue.

    My Army FI is wearing his dress blues as well. My colors are Sangria and Golden. My girls are wearing Sangria and the men are wearing black tuxes with Golden vests/ties. It looks very nice with the blues and Sangria is a pretty shade of purple since you're interested in purple! :)
