Seating Chart question

Anybody have some advice?

We're having a super small wedding (22 people in all, including us).  The best option for the room is to have two tables of eleven.  It works out great because there's 11 family members and 11 friends coming.

I want to have a table of family (plus us) and a table of friends.  The trouble is, I can't figure out a way of tactfully saying, "This table is for family only!"  I also don't want to specifically assign people a place at their table, either. 

Would a table sign that says, "Family" and a table sign that says "Friends" at each table be rude?  Or okay?

    I wouldn't put a sign on the table. That seems really rude and tacky.  You could do place cards with table 1 and table 2.

    Yup, that's pretty much the way it goes! :)

    I recommend the placecards at Michael's - free template, easy to quickly customize and print.  They have coupons every week, and with 22 people you'll only need one package.

    You can also do a poster seating chart if you don't want to do individual placecards.  It can be as simple as 1 large frame or 2 smaller frames witht he list of people who are sitting at each table.

    I would think your family would all sit down together and your friends but if you want to designate I would do numbers not family and friends because Im sure you have that friend who thinks there family...
