RSVP Postcards or Enveloped Cards.??

I'm scared of doing postcards because of the high probability that they would get lost in the mail. I would be more comfortable with guests sending a card in an envelope. FI is for the postcard to save money on extra envelopes. What do you girls think.??

  • I think it depends how formal your wedding is.  If it's formal or even semi-formal, you need envelopes.

  • I wanted to do post cards for the price thing, but then like Mel said I want it to be more formal and I am worried about them getting ripped and stuff in the mail.

  • We are doing envelopes. I too would be worried they would get lost in the mail, ripped, etc.

  • Have you priced the two options? Believe it or not, it's not much cheaper if at all because with the post card you will pay for double sided printing. For the minimal cost difference I'd say just go with envelopes.

  • We're doing postcards. I personally don't feel they are informal, especially if they are designed nicely. And it is cheaper for us as we are making them ourselves.
