Getting in Shape

Fellow Ontarians..

I was just reading through the meet and greet thread and realized a lot of us are in Ontario... I'm a little surprised; for an international website, it seems odd that there would be so many of us within a couple of hours of each other. I'm in KW.. FH and I moved here for school (U of Waterloo) about 6 years ago and haven't looked back.. We're originally from the London area (little city called St. Thomas)..

Where are you all getting married (or where did you get married)? Ours will be at Elm Hurst Inn in Ingersoll..

Re: Fellow Ontarians..

  • We are getting married in Ancaster...my family lives in Quebec and FI's lives near Milton, we live in Burlington and work in Milton and Oakville...we could have picked a location closer than Ancaster but I fell in love with a venue there and couldn't be deterred!

I wish my local board was more active but there aren't many people on the 'Toronto' board, not that it would matter since the wedding isn't really all that near there...I tend to hang out on the board of the month of the wedding...
  • I live in the St. Catharines area (born and raised), but we got married in Belleville. I had gone to school in Peterborough where I met my husband, and he was transfered to belleville for work, but once we got married we moved back to my home town. My dad lives out near st. thomas, in port stanley!
  • Speaking of Ontarians...were you ladies all just watching that awesome hockey game?
  • Im almost certain almost everyone in Ontario, and all of Canada was just watching that game. Oh man!!!
  • I grew up in Burlington, went to Waterloo for university, moved to Oakville after school for work and we've just recently bought our first house in Hamilton.

We got married at the RBG in Burlington.

  • Hah--crazy--I'm in St. Catharines too.  What a lark that there's so many southern Ontarians around.  Though my own wedding isn't quite on the books yet, my little sister is tying the knot in the fall, so I've been looking around for info for her.  Must admit that reading posts on this board has definitely caught my eye--being a BM is definitely good motivation to lose those 15 pounds that have crept on over the last couple years.... *sighhhh*

All the best to everyone with your goals!
    Best,
    Becs

Ive only been to the premier on bunting a few times, for spinning class back in the summer/fall. I liked all of the options but it was way too busy, the parking sucked (this is a huge thing for me for some reason), and too many people spent too much time wandering around watching people and it seemed creepy. I did like the tvs on each machine, which the mademoiselle doesnt have... but I dont watch tv for that long when I work out anyways so its moot.

Mademoiselle is fairly dead most of the day, which I like. I dont like having to wait for machines.
