Russo's Catering - Xavier Ballroom

We've having our wedding reception at the Xavier Ballroom in May 2011. I've heard great things about Russo's, the exclusive caterer for the facility. However, we're having trouble choosing an option for our sit-down dinner.

Anyone eaten Russo's catering and have suggestions on what they like best? What about been to a wedding at Xavier Ballroom? How was the experience overall?

    I like their food.  They run 2 restaurants- Spazio in Westport and Russo's Cafe off of Page, so you can try before you contract.  

    I have really liked their set up at weddings- I had a cousin who got married at The Butterfly House and he used them- he's a chef, so he's very picky about food.  They also made filet for his wedding and allowed him to prepare a batch of his signature sauce to serve over it, which someone picked up from the house and brought to the venue and kept appropriately hot.  Wait staff was attentive and friendly, Bar staff was great.

    I would also ask about a tasting!  Surely they could have you in and give you some samples of your top choices!

    We are getting married at Spazio, Russo's catering also, in June 2011. They are having a tasting in January for everyone who has an event booked. The lady we booked with said we will get something in the mail about it, so I'm sure you will too.

    I went to a wedding at Spazio's.  The food was absolutely AMAZING!  It was definately some of the best food I've had.
