Signature Drinks

I'm trying to figure out signature drinks. We're having beer and wine, and two signature drinks (one for me, one for the hubby).

Any suggestions? We'd like to have them fit at least one (but not all!) of these criteria:

"winter" flavored (peppermint, cooca, cranberry, etc.)
pink
blue
hot
cold

Thank you! :)

Re: Signature Drinks

  • The Knot actually already has lots of great ideas on this if you search around.

Another approach is to meet with a bartender at your venue for some "customized" ideas.
  • Thanks, I'll look around here!

My venue doesn't have a bartender--it's a non-alcoholic dance club that my fiance owns--and the restaurant that's catering serves alcohol, but doesn't really have a bar or a specified bartender. So thanks for the idea to look around here! :)

  • I went to a wedding where they served bellinis with champagne, peach schnapps, vodka, and grenadine. The rim was dipped in pink sugar. It was amazing! Not winter themed but it is pink and delicious :

  • I was at a winter wedding 2 years ago that had a Hot Chocolate Bar with both alcoholic (Bailey's, Peppermint Schnapps, Creme de Cacao, Cinnamon Schnapps, and Butterscotch Snapps) (rum Chata would be delish too) and non alcoholic add-ins (Marshmallows, Peppermint Candy Pieces, Vanilla Creamer, Cinnamon Candy bits). It was a huge hit and people didn't drink too terribly much because of the sweetness/heaviness of hot chocolate. Perfect for the cocktail hour though because we had all just trekked across the parking lot into the reception hall.
  • The bellini and hot chocolate bar sound amazing! I was already thinking of a hot chocolate bar, but I didn't really think to add alcoholic options to the bar! Thanks!

The eggnog sounds good too--it's not my personal favorite, but I know a lot of people on my fiance's side LOVE it!

  • Pink- Kir Royale: 1 part creme de cassis and 1 part champagne. It's very tastey, elegant, and unusual in the "signature drink" repertoire.

Blue- You aren't going to get anything "winter" flavored that's blue. Everything that I know of (used to bartend) to make drink blue are all tropical flavored. With that said Blue Hawaii's, Blue diamond martinis, or blue lagoons are very popular drinks.

Hot- I would do coffee/hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps and/or Irish cream. Butterbeer, hot toddies, and hard cider may be good options.

Cold- Well the above drinks are cold but White Russians could be an awesome option.
  • foodnetwork has a few good ideas. also try drink.com
  • Oh, White Russians sound great! I've only had them once, but I loved them. I completely forgot aout those. Thanks! :)
