WTF? Bristol & Levi are getting married?

Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston say they're engaged and hope to get married within six weeks in Alaska, an abrupt turnaround for the couple that just months ago was fighting over child support and Johnston's critical comments about the family.

More at link above.  Can you imagine having Sarah Palin for a MIL?

"The couple is ready to get married but Palin told the magazine they'll probably see a marriage counselor, Schaefer said, adding that Palin made it clear that Levi will have 'a lot of work to do.'"

    I mean.  I don't blame them for breaking up.  I think her camp pushed for it...meh.  They can have a disastrous marriage at 19 if they want.

    It's a train wreck waiting to happen, that's for sure!

    I think it's a little ridiculous to be getting married. He seems pretty scummy, IMO.

    They won't be the first teenagers to make a baby and then decide to get married. I don't think it'll have the best outcome no matter what.

    Well, it makes sense. Bristol can't be an abstinence/opposite marriage poster child with a baby any no husband. I'm sure he's being compensated well.

    That was fast. They only just "set asside their differences" to have a civil relationship for the sake of their baby.

    I seriously do not understand the persistent belief that a bad marriage is a better model for a child than no marriage. 

    But yes, it plays right into Sarah's base's beliefs, and it's no different than any other 19yo baby mama/baby daddy getting hitched. I suspect it will be equally disastrous, if better-concealed.
