sad news

A lady I work with has a ten year old son and he has constantantly been getting sick well this week he was taken to Children's Hospital in Denver and the family found out that he has a malignant brian tumor that is inoperable b/c of the location. He now is going to have to go through extreme chemotheropy. If you could just keep this precious little boy in your thoughts and prayers it would be greatly appreciated.

  • It's always such terrible news when things like this happen but it always seems so much worse when it's young children. Will be thinking of them
  • My thoughts and prayers are with the family in this situation...

  • They believe he will survive with the chemo but he probably will not live a normal life for a long time if ever since it is almost the dose of chemo they would give an adult so he will have double the times of chemo treatment. operating would have been the best option but they cannot do that with the location of the tumor. The chemo will take a pretty bad toll on his body. If the chemo works which hopefully it will the tumor can be smaller but it is not a guarantee that they can kill it all without doing irrocavable damage to his brian. My uncle is a doctor and knows some pretty powerful and well established doctors and has made a phone call to a world renowned brian surgereon that hopefully will come and see what his opinions is-they sent him the xrays this weekend and he does not think they should operate either so sadly chemo is probably the only option he has. The good news i guess since the cancer is agressive suposseably it responds better to chemo then less agressive cancer. So hopefully it will respond and that would mean less treatments-he starts chemo on wednesday so we should know more after that
  • So sorry to hear this.  I will keep him in my T&P!
