Florist Budget-Help!

Hello!

My fiance and I are starting to look at florists for our July 6 wedding and I have no idea where to begin! Our venue includes our centerpiecess, so I am going to meet with them for a consultation and I figured I could look at them for bouquets/boutineers/etc.

I think I will need 1 bridal bouquet, 6 bridemaids bouquets, 2 pomanders, 9 boutineers, 6 corsages and maybe 2 or 3 pieces for the church. Does anyone have any idea a reasonable budget without centerpieces? I have no idea what the average price is!

Thank you!!

Re: Florist Budget-Help!

  • This would be best asked on your local board (see the left link, "local wedding boards"). Prices for florists vary from one part of the country to the next.
  • I got three recs off my local board and checked their reviews on Wedding Wire. I met with all 3 of them, then chose the one who I felt the most comfortable with and who seemed to understand my vision the most.

It's very hard to estimate pricing since it depends on so many things like your area, types of flowers used, etc.  Most budget calculators estimate that you will spend 10% of your total budget on flowers, but since you won't need centerpieces, you should come in under that.
  • I'm also starting to research florist and the first one that I emailed quoted me at $380 for one bridal bouquet, one bridmaides bouquet and 2 boutineers with all calla lilies.  I will be researching other florists.

Hope this helps you a little bit.

    :)
