Does anyone have advise when you are looking and trying on gowns?!?!? I have my first appt on Friday.

    Have fun. Try on styles you think you might not like. You never know what you will end up liking. I would also take a camera with you.

    try pulling your hair up or down, however you think you might want it for the wedding. it changes the whole look. try on things the salesperson suggests.. i would have NEVER picked my dress if it wasn't for the salesperson asking me to try it on. bring shapewear if you plan on wearing it because it makes a world of a difference. think about the FEEL of your wedding and go with your gut!

    Wear shoes, strapless bra and Spanx, as TheMrsCabral suggests.

    Don't turn down something more dramatic than you might normally wear -- think about the pictures and what you're comfortable wearing. DEfinitely take a camera to judge.

    Also, consider spending less on a dress with less bling and blinging it up, instead, with a couple decent pieces of jewelry that you'll wear again.
