What I have booked & Still Need To Book

Hi there... This is what I've done so far and I would love for everyone to share your vendors and also what you still need to book.

Can you also list your Location so it will help other brides (and me)

Ceremony Location: Downtown Toronto

Reception Location:  Downtown Toronto

Getting Ready Location: Might be Durham Region but will end up  downtown at a hotel

Already Booked:

Venue: http://www.steamwhistle.ca/  I like this venue but with anything... I have found other venues that I would like and love.  But I love my venue and I'm looking foward to making it unique with my own stamp.

Invitations: http://www.momentodesign.ca/  Found them through my photographer.  I like their designs and pricing fits my budget.

Sweet Table: http://www.sweetsomethingdesigns.com/  Not officially booked yet but this is the vendor I'm going to use if I don't go the DYI route.

DJ - http://www.danthedj.ca/ Best Friend use them and l loved the vibe they did for her.

Photographer: http://www.bluesixcreative.com

Photographer was hard to choose.  So many to pick from and looking at pictures made my head spin.  Happy with my choice and they were really flexible with pricing and making a custom package to suit my budget.

Make Up: Done by a close High School Friend

Live Band:  Two people I know got other friends together to make a group to play at my wedding.  They played for a house party to show us what they can do.

Dress: http://www.romonakeveza.com/ I love her dresses and went to see them at their Toronto shop and bought one.  Quickest purchase ever!

Flowers: http://www.pinktwig.ca  Tanya is the sweetest person to deal with and also very busy with their shop.

Still Need to Book:

- Minister:  Finding this one tough

- Limo: Finding this one tough also.  Might go with a vintage car.

- Honeymoon: Not worried about this.  So many great places to go.

- Cake:  So expensive if you want something from a magazine like quality.  Still hunting!

- Video?  Not sure if we are going to get it.  I want it but FH does not want it.

- Hair:  Thinking of using a local Salon downtown.  Have not picked one.  Might go with the mobile hair  vendor if we do a hotel downtown.

List your vendors and some notes if you want.  I always like checking out websites of vendors.

I am getting married October 3rd in Tampa,FL. We are having our wedding on the CArnival Legend Cruise ship so thay do the cake, reception, and wedding all for one price. which was really not bad. the only thing I did was hunt for the small stuff, silk flowers, bridesmaid dresses from Davids bridal, and .my dress which I ought at Goodwill for $100 almost brand new.I still have to book a limo or bus and tuxedos with the boat. I recommend getting married on a cruise ship it saves the bride alot of trouble.

    Ceremony Location: Newcastle

    Reception Location:  Newcastle

    Getting Ready Location: Bowmanville

    Already Booked:

Venue: www.newcastlecommunityhall.com - stunning old building close to home, really reasonable and allows me to bring in my own caterer. ( not to mention mom and sister both had receptions here... although i am the only one getting married on the grounds)

Invitations: Myself... going a DIY route for these, but bar none these will be awesome. A friend of mine from college is into film and has offered to film a short black and white silent film.. totally us btw... and we will be using it as our STDs ( burning and creating the covers/holders myself ) then we will have a full DVD with pictures, interactive maps, our video, personal message from fi and I, and events leading up to the day. We have alot of family overseas and some wont make it, so we want them to be involved however possible. (I took advertising in college, and have a graphic design background.. so alot of the design work will be mine)

DJ : www.rythmmsound.com - Stephanie Smith, met at a bridal show and totally fell in love with her, she will be an awesome dj!

Photographer:www.blushphotography.com, a good friend and photog all in one, she does stunning pics! I will attach a pic she took at christmas of fi & I & feel free to check out her site,

    .

Make Up: Marriane Dixon - www.allmadeup.ca She is AMAZING did my make up in the above pic too! and she will come to my house!

Dress: Maggie Sottero - Claudette. At least thats where I have landed so far. Waiting until closer to make final decision

    - Cake: Totally lucked out, if you see my inspiration board, the cake I choose is being replicated by this awesome new to the industry expert.. Natalie Atell. if y ou search on FB for ache for cake you will see a bit of her work, but because she is new, she is less money and will replicate designs unlike bake shops. I am having a 4 tiered cake for 150-175 at 300$ .... TADA! :)

Catering: Knox Christian school, OK this might be a long story. neither fi or I are religious but when my sister got married the knox ladies did her meal and it was fabulous, homestyle with a turkey and stuffing etc on each table, as well there was a roast beef and ceaser salad garlic mashed and 3 types of veggies. Best part is they have the moms of the kids do the serving so that there is no overhead, very professional and allt he money goes back in to the school as a fundraiser.

GET THIS - all of the above plus a full late night buffet (wraps/ sandwiches/ munchies etc) .... 18$ a plate! SERIOUSLY!

not to mention moms food always tastes better:) - google knox christian school in bowmanville for more info.

    - Hair:  Mellissa from Hot Heads in Courtice... been doing my hair for a whlie.

    Still Need to Book:

    - Flowers: No clue. My BM is on it right now...

    - Minister:  We know who we want just havent signed anything

    - Limo: Trying to decide how big we want

    - Honeymoon: Also not worried, we are thinking Sandals in St. Lucia though.

    - Video: Not sure if we want it yet.

    Hope this helps!
