3 Showers?!?!?!

Hey Guys!

So I found out the other day that I will have three showers thrown in my honor. I am just flabbergasted that I get more than one. Is it inappropriate to accept 3 showers? My Aunt is throwing one for my family out of town. My MOH is throwing one in my hometown for my friends. My FSIL and FMIL are throwing me one where they live, for the friends and family there and our church friends (I am very involved in the church there). I just feel a little overwhelmed. I also am wondering if it's bad etiquette to accept all three. I've heard of having two, but three? Thoughts?

    It's fine to have three showers.  Just make sure that there isn't much (if any) overlap in the guest lists (it looks like there isn't based on where they are being thrown), and that everybody invited to the showers is also invited to the wedding.

    Seems very reasonable given the diverse locations. As the PP said, keep the overlap on fthe guest lists to a minimum. Enjoy your celebrations!

    Three is fine since it sounds like your guests will each only attend one.

    It's fine as long as there is little-no guest list overlap, and ALL of the shower invitees are invited to the wedding.

    3 is fine.  Even more can be fine - work, your family, his family, general friends, etc.  I know of a bride that had 6, I did think that was a bit much. Her mom bought new outfits (clothes, jewelry, shoes, handbags) for all 6 plus rehearsal, bridesmaids brunch, reception, brunch the next morning. I'd say mom blew about $3500 on clothes just for herself.  wow.

    I agree with PPs. Three showers is not a problem, since the locations and guest lists are so varied.

    I actually had the same thing. One in my hometown with my family, one where I was living at the time, and one with FI's family and their church ladies.
