Anyone else do this (preface I'm a dork!)?

I spend probably 80% of my board time if not more on our Sept 12 board. A lot of times if no one has said anything new I'll just close out TK. Because of this I have caught myself several times doing this....when I do go to other boards I'll read something someone just did (for example, sent out invitations) and wonder "why the heck did you do that we still have 7 months?" totally forgetting that I'm not reading about a September bride. Don't worry I only ever wonder it and haven't embarrassed myself by posting anything.

LOL sometimes I think things like that. I try to be nice on other boards, but sometimes people are just plain dumb (IMO) and need an awakening. I've been called rude and other things, but that's ok.

Ha, I do that. I only really go on here or the Detroit board, but I really don't like that one as much. It's mostly married women who impart snarky judgment. Some of the girls are really nice and helpful, but when it comes to really participating in a board, I spend most of my time on this one. Every now and again I will go check out etiquette or something to look for drama, but this is where I prefer to be :0)

I usually stick to this board. I'll go on my local board if I need recommendations or something, but not advice b/c some of them will jump down your throat and I hate reading the way they talk to some of the other girls just b/c they don't agree with their ideas/beliefs (like PP said, its a lot of married women with judgements on my board too). Wedding Classifieds is another board I frequent, probably doesn't count though.

Wedding Classifieds count in my house but that's because I'd count anything that when FI looks over my shoulder makes him roll his eyes. haha!

i used to only check the september board occasionally, but now it's my main stop. i used to lurk on ettiquette and DIY, but this one is a lot better and i'm not afraid to post like I am on ettiquette. i post occasionally on DIY and my local board, but i don't feel like i "know" the girls there, so I just don't feel a strong connection to stay there.

This is definitely my go-to board. I check out a couple of the others, especially Retro and Vintage Weddings, DIY and my local board. But I always end up spending tons more time here. It's my home stop.

I go to Classifieds (though I'm not in the market for anything now =p), DIY, Inivtes, HM, etc etc. The more "out there" the board, the more bored I must have been. Like if I'm on Cakes and Food or Customs and Traditions, I was sitting here twiddling my thumbs for a few minutes. lol!</div>

But yes -- I totally have thought that before when lurking on other boards! Or I'll see someone posting that theyre getting married near me and I get all excited! And then I realize that Im on my local board, not this one lol.

I am the same way! I love you girls! Sept 2012 is definitely where I spend my time. I always make an effort to read all the new posts and respond even if I don't make my own posts as often as I could. My local city board is absolutely dead and my state board is pretty quiet as well.

I used to be a pretty regular poster on Getting in Shape, but I feel like at this point, I know what I'm doing and I can lose the weight on my own---plus that is all they talk about, there is no real community.

I lurk/occasionally post on Registering & Gifts and Etiquette but generally I am too scared of posting on Etiquette! I am not interested in getting involved in drama. If I have a specific question (say about invitations) I will post on Invites & Paper, but then I will XP here because I want your opinions too.

P.S. I am so proud of us for being so awesome and creating such a great and caring community!

This! I have a direct link to this board bookmarked on my computer. First thing when I get to work in the morning is check my work email, check my personal email, and open this board to catch-up on what I missed after I left work the night before. If no one is posting on this board for awhile and I'm REALLY bored then I'll check out the others looking for some drama to read. I almost never post on any other boards though because I'm afraid of being attacked. I love that we've built such a nice little community of trust and understanding. If only that could translate into my real life it would be perfect! :)
