Photographer Help

anyone know of a photographer comparable to susan sancomb or brad smith? we turned down brad because we wanted to book susan (he really needed to let another couple know right away who wanted to use him) and now susan is not returning our calls/e-mails which makes me a little upset/worried. she also doesn't really offer any tangible album to take away from what I understand and she charges extra for E-session and parent albums. any ideas of who we could try to meet with now? help, please! thanks!

Not sure if they are similar, but I am using Memories RI, they have awesome pictures and they include albums in their packages.  They worked with our budget and we are getting everything and more than we anticipated for a price that works for us.  He's also been great about getting back to me w/in an hour or 2 (by email).

We are also using MemoriesRI. I would say their style is fresh and modern but still romantic. I chose them because Chris the main photographer/owner is so easy to be around and made us both feel totally comfortable. The packages all include an e-session with a gallery of all images. All packages also include two photographers and all day coverage plus all images. Two of the packages also include albums if that is something you are looking for.

I would say Sabrina Scolari is very similar to Susan. But I dont know her pricing. HTH and sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Also, did you try Seth Jacobson. His stuff is a bit more "punchy" but he has good work- and is in with that "group" of photographers.

I know Susan is so sweet and has a child etc. Maybe she is just behind from a wedding or something is going on at home and she can't get right back to you. Give it a day or two.

Here are a few photographers who share a similar style if not a little more distinctive. However, I don't know what your price range is or what you want included as things like parent albums are usually a la carte.

    Hello Love Photography

    Rebecca Arthurs

Melissa Stimpson <-------- Really reminds me of Brad Smith's work

Aubrey Greene <-------- Reminds me of Susan Sancomb

I used Armor and Martel in Portsmouth. He's really easy to work with and I found his prices really reasonable. I also know he'll work with you to make you happy, first hand! Bonus - he knows the island VERY well! He responds via email usually within a few hours. And I know many local venues like him, too.

thanks all for the great suggestions! royal orient - i loved aubrey greene's site - very similar to susan. susan did write us back last night and FI really wants to use her so we will go forward. she did say that she would work with us to create an album as it's really important to us and is thinking over what to offer to parents to purchase as well. thanks again everyone! seems like there are a lot of great choices out there!

just an FYI aubrey greene is caitlin maloneys 2nd sooter. but is a bit more expensive. So if anyone is interested in her, cailtin maloney is a bit less expensive, the same style as aubrey , and you can always request Aubrey as your 2nd shooter.

My DD used Armor & Martel for her 9/17/11 wedding. We couldn't be more pleased with Chris Martel & his crew. He's a pleasure to work with and the pictures are AWESOME and came fast! He included an engagement session in our package and traveled to Fenway park to shoot! They also have a great video team working with them, if you choose. Highly recommend checking out Armor & Martel.
