NWR: 106.1 WBLI

So maybe some of my SW CT girls who get this station out of LI heard this on the way to work too.  This morning is Hersday, like Thursday, and the female host, Dana asked the two guys (one gay, one straight) if it was strange that she got REALLY UPSET when her husband of a year told her that he broke his foot in high school.  Her point was, she felt like their relationship wasn't as strong as she had thought because she didn't know this little detail.

I pulled over and called until I got through, and told her I still love her but she's a crazy biitch.  What do you guys think?

I think it's an unreasonable expectation that my FI will have told me every single freaking detail of his 32 years on this planet... and it's not because he's dodgy or evasive. It's because some of it is irrelavent and there hasn't been a reason for it to come up in conversation!!! Who cares that he had a blue toothbrush when he was 7 and fell and got a boo boo at 9.  It's mundane info that doesn't define him as a person.

Ditto Carrie.. I find that ridiculous.. unless it came up in conversation and he dodged the question shadily for some odd reason she has no reason to be upset. I think it's so cute when I learn new things about FI's childhood whether it be stories his parents tell or it comes up in every day conversation. We've told each other the important stuff back when we were getting to know each other. But I see every day as a new learning process, you learn new things about your mate every day whether it be he broke his leg in high school or he kills a big bug a certain way. (I found this out yesterday when I screamed for him to come kill this giant bug in the bathroom.. I had never seen this type of bug before and it freaked me out.) He came in and towel swatted it when I pictured him to smush it with a paper towel and take it outside. He just laughed and said, "How did you think I'd kill it?!" Haha.. thus me learning something new. :0)

Having grown up on LI, this is why I am NEVER moving further north than Milford...because between BLI and 880AM and 660AM, I still pretend I'm in NY.

Maybe because FI and I have been together for so long I feel like I know everything about him, so something I can expect that something like that would be a shock.  But I think it's even better when you find out the little things because then after all that time, you have something to connect with them on an even deeper level with.

I heard that too and she must have been starved for something to talk about, because she sounded like a total raving nutjob!!
