Anyone planning a honeymoon in the mountains?

Hi everyone.
Due to the cost of our wedding out of state as it stands right now my fiance and I are not having a honeymoon because we can't afford to go to the Virgin Islands like we really wanted. I am looking for any place in Colorado to do a short weekend trip to. I've been looking in Aspen and Palisade/Grand Junction area. Anyone else planning on staying in Colorado for a honeymoon? Any recommendations?
Thanks!

I would look in to Breckenridge.  My FI and I went there last year for our dating anniversary and had an awesome weekend.  The town is really cute and lots of fun.  There are lots of different resorts up there too and I think some are pretty secluded which would be great for a honeymoon.

Ouray or Telluride  We're getting married in Ouray and it's absolutely gorgeous.

Oh I've never heard of Ouray!
Yes, we've been to Blackhawk, Cripple Creek, Vail, Steamboat Springs and Winter Park. Surprisingly we've never been to Breckenridge despite living here for many years. Thanks for the tips!

We didn't go there for our HM, but I second Breckenridge.  It's a very cool city with lots to do.  When I'm there, I also like to drive over to Dillon Reservoir and hang out by the lake or watch the boats at the Marina.

Another idea:  We didn't have a lot of money for our HM either, so we took a road trip to New Mexico.  Have you been to Santa Fe?  It's an easy 6 hour drive and it's a great city.

We got married @ Devils Thumb Ranch in Winter Park (beautiful!) and then went on a "minimoon" in Telluride.  Both places were awesome & I would highly recommend them for a little getaway (telluride being the better location!) for your honeymoon!
no identifiable siggy pictures anymore, thanks a lot stupid nest!

Small town about an hour from Telluride.  Really great B&B's and a gorgeous old hotel with a spa.  We're getting married there because FI and I went on our first vacation together there and go every year.

My favorite CO towns are Breck and Estes Park (awesome hiking), but I haven't lived here long so I haven't been to Aspen or Telluride. My friend goes to Telluride every year for their anniversary and says it's gorgeous.

I second breck, t-ride or ouray.  Also Durango, or Pagosa (GREAT hot springs).  Also maybe check out vrbo.com  its vacation rentals that people own, sometimes you can get great deals.  Good luck!
