Hi everyone! Just getting started to plan and budget. I'm wondering what I should budget for catering in the DC/ NOVA areas. I know most templates say 50% of the overall and specific caterers will work with you and your budget, but I'm trying to gauge the cost difference between a hotel that has XX/ person costs for different menus vs bringing a caterer in to a somewhat non-traditional (i.e. non-hotel) venue. It looks like it will be around 150 people, Saturday evening, would like a sit down plated 2-3 course menu with some appetizers, bar service etc. Mainly I'm wondering what a reasonable number would be for that.
