No Inner Envelope 4 Pocketfold

Hi, I got the pocketfold style invitation. Unfortunately they do not come with an inner envelope. We are wanting to allow single guests to bring a guest with them if they wish. Also, we are allowing children to attend the wedding as well. I am going back and forth about how to address the invites. The wedding is formal and so are the invites, so I know putting & guest on the addressed envelope wouldn't look right. I read somewhere that I can put the number of seats we have reserved for the invited guest on the RSVP card and then provide a space for the guest to write how many seats they are using.

Example:

Envelope-

Mr. John Smith
123 Straight Street
Smalltown, State
12345

RSVP card-

we have reserved _(2)_ seats in your honor.
**if guest checks box that they are attending, the line beneath would read:
___ number of guests attending

for a family, should I do this:

Mr. & Mrs. John Smith
Ben, Alex, Susie
123 Straight Street
Smalltown, State
12345

and then the rsvp would be the same as above??

can someone help me out. im not sure if this would make sense to those receiving the invite.

:)

Re: No Inner Envelope 4 Pocketfold

  • I had pocketfolds without inner envelopes, formal invitations for a formal wedding.  I still put "Ms. Jane Doe and Guest" on the outer envelope.  For kids, I did it how you suggested.
