which florist to choose?

Hi everyone!
I'm having my wedding up in Narberth at my fiancées parents house and one of the things I'm most excited about when it comes to planning my wedding is the flowers! I'm really a huge perfectionist so I want them to be amazing. My question is: which florist did everyone choose? The top two florists on my list that I am considering are Robertsons and Carl Alan, has anyone worked with either of these florists? What was your experience?
Thanks and congrats to everyone!

Haven't had my wedding yet (it's in two months), but I'm using Carl Alan, and I can't say enough wonderful things. If you're a perfectionist and really want to see EXACTLY how your flowers will look on the day of, I'd highly recommend them. My meeting with them lasted 3 hours, and they literally built my bouquet, the girls' bouquets, and all the centerpieces with me - and took photos, measurements, counts, etc. so as to be able to recreate it precisely the same way on the big day. Also, they're super nice, and are very willing to work with your budget. They're also honest about what you can and can't use for your budget - so, for example, if you reach for a flower type that will put you over budget, they'll stop you and suggest (and have in stock) alternatives in the same color, etc.

I can't compare them to Robertson's, but I can absolutely recommend Carl Alan base on my experiences. Good luck!

I am using Carl Alan and I am happy so far. My FI & I were very impressed by their level of service. We were having our consultation the day before the hurricane and as we were being walked into our appointment we overheard Carl talking to the delivery person. Carl had, at no charge, included an extra set of all the personal flowers for the wedding the next day (during the hurricane) in case any bouquets or anything happened to get ruined while the bridal party had to be outside. When my FI & I commented on this Carl said his number 1 priority is that the couple is happy and everything is perfect. He said the extra flowers were costing him $500 but he was willing to eat that so he could be certain the bride would have perfect flowers the whole day. We were really blown away by that level of service.

Ditto to everything gkishbauch said. We spent a half hour talking with Carl when we got there and he was honest about what he could and couldn't do for us in our budget. I had emailed the photos of what I liked to them ahead of time and they had all the fresh flowers there. I met with them in July and they had managed to get fresh peonies even though they're out of season. They built my bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, and centerpieces right there, which took about another 2 hours. That was enough to impress me and make me want to book them on the spot - with other florists I didn't even get to see real flowers and I only had a vague idea of what my flowers would look like on my weddng day. After I sent the deposit, they emailed me the photos of all the flowers. I have only good things to say about Carl Alan.
