Anyone Hiring a Wedding Planner?

I am considering hiring a full-service wedding planner, or at the very least hire one for the final week.  I'm not trying to pay a fortune and I am looking for someone who serves Brooklyn. Any recommendations??

I love, love, love my wedding planner!!!  I went with Katie from Sara Kate Events.  She was recommended to me by other brides on here. and has been great!  Her email is:   sarakateevents@gmail.com

I posted a review of my vendors on the board - I used My Bridal Budget - www.mybridalbudget.com.  It was for DOC services, but she did a lot of stuff before and certainly the weeks leading up to.  She and her staff also do full planning and are very reasonable in price.

I am using Caitlin Russotti. She's been great thus far. She works out of Brooklyn so I am sure she would serve Brooklyn.

Caitlin Russotti is my wedding planner.  She is based in Brooklyn and seems to know a lot of people in Brooklyn.

I absolutely love working with her.  She is great to talk to and really helpful.

Is she full-service?  I hear they charge a percentatge, what should I expect to pay for a wedding for 200 to 250 guests?  I am certainly going to look into thoe names you ladies posted.  Thanks again.

Did they charge a percentage based on wedding costs or a flat fee?  I have my venue, ceremony and reception will be the same location.  I'm thinking I might just need someone for the day how much do you think that would be?

I can't speak for all planners but when I was shopping for mine, some, not all, made assessments based on what I already had booked versus what I have left to do. Some planners have a flat fee regardless. I had my venue booked and a couple of major vendors. I booked my planner for partial wedding planning and they helped me to select the rest of my vendors based on my budget and went to my appointments. My planner was also there as Day of Coordinator, which is part of the service, to ensure that there were no flaws to my day. It was great, I'm glad I hired one. I hope this helps
