Can someone tell me the rule to this? I looked it up and it says that married couples with families you don't have to put the kids names just the married couple themselves. I always thought that you put Mr. & Mrs. Smith & Family, not Mr. & Mrs. Smith,

some direction would be helpful. Would it look bad if I addressed them Mr. & Mrs. John Smith and Family?
