feeling down

I am feeling pretty down today... Happy because I get to go to the Marine ball with FI tomorrow but sad because the dress I origionally had wont work, the one I have now is pretty though. I am going to get a mani pedi later and my pinky toenail broke off this morning. I have NO idea what to expect. So, I guess i'm mostly just pretty nervous about the ball.

On the up side, I get to spend the whole weekend with my FI<3

    aww, don't be nervous, have fun! Just relax and be you and it'll be fine; I mean after all, you get to spend the weekend with your FI and he loves you for being you, so enjoy it!

    that sucks about your toe :/

    What dress are you wearing? shoes? do you have pics? we're pic whores here..

    Don't be nervous!  Like fire said, just be yourself and enjoy the time with your FI!

    Don't get down.  Mani/pedi is a cure all in my opinion.  Have fun, enjoy the ball. 

    FTL has such great advise here. I think she should have it in a word doc and cut and paste every time someone is going to a ball. 

    However, just remember do not drink a lot, well in my opinion at all.  The "lushy" wives/FI/GF are talked about.  I cannot count the number of times I have heard stories about one person or another and not from other wives mind you. 

    Oh and on that note, do not engage in the "gossipy" talk that will happen and you will hear it.  Just advoid that all together. 

    In a final word classy is best.  Just remember that.

    I do not have pictures of the dress yet, because I just got it this morning, but I promise to put pics up soon! It's not a flashy dress, and it's light grey at the top and then a little darker at the bottom. I saw that flashy is not good at these balls? So hopefully my dress is okay.

    Crown, mani-pedi is the perfect cure and I cannot wait.(:

    IMO, a dress is flashy because -you- make it flashy. Aint no amount of fabric/glitter/sequins/whatever able to make a dress flashy and classy if the wearer isn't. 

    That's why I think that all brides look good in their dresses no matter the style- because brides are self confident, and they love the way they look in their dress and it's perfect for THEM. 

    I'm sure your dress will be just fab!
