My FI wants to fight about the guest list!!!

So I am inviting some people from my chruch who I am not completely close to but have been in my life for quite a while. When I asked him about it he said that was stupid bc I am not close with them. He however is inviting his huge A$$ family, half of whom he doesn't even know their names. I understand they are family and should be invited, and I want them to be. I just dont want him giving me fits because I want to invite a family who he isnt so close with. How do I handle this?
P.S: the family he is inviting lives half way across the country, he has only met them like twice, and I have never met either!

Ugh.

    Relax.
    Have you and FI figued out the total number of people you can afford/accomodate with your venue? If you haven't gone over that number than who cares? Neither one of you should be giving each other a hard time over it. If you have gone over, you will both have to sit down and compromise on where you're going to cut people.

    Also, are you sure you want to invite his "huge ass family"? You sound really bitter about it. Can he help that he has a big family? No.

    Im not bitter that he has a large family. I was bitter that he was freaking out because I was inviting 2 people he didnt know and he is inviting like 75 that i have never met. anyway we have figured it out. I was just really upset lastnight when I made thsi post.
