Help! Want an outdoor KC wedding!

We were planning a destination wedding, but the births of two babies in our family has changed our plans. We are still wanting to get married in September or early October, so we have precious little time! I am dead set on an outdoor ceremony, and was just wanting some advice since I don't have a lot of time to decide on a venue. Any suggestions?

There is a venue called Meadowview Gardens in Bates City that is beautiful! It also had indoor areas that work in the event of rain! Good luck!!!

Loose Park, Hawthorne House, Powell Gardens, The Terrace on Grand....that's all I can think of off the top of my head.  Hope this helps!

Not sure if you are interested in a country club setting, but Hillcrest Country Club has a really pretty outdoor spot.  They also have an indoor space in case of rain.  www.hillcrestkc.com HTH!

Lots of options depending on your budget! We are having it outdoors as well. I would suggest Mildale Farm (expensive but gorgeous), but it may be booked up by now for this fall. Our other option we're considering is Shawnee Mission Park. It's beautiful, has a small lake, etc. I've been to lots of weddings there and they're super nice. And I'm sure you could reserve a shelter or something in this time frame (and it's cheap).

All of my suggestions have already been said.  I was thinking Powell Gardens, Hawthorne House, Hillcrest Country Club, and Loose Park.  We are having our reception at Adams Pointe Golf Club in Blue Springs, and I know they have an outdoor ceremony space too.  Also, I know Longview Mansion is very pretty for outdoor weddings.

Check local parks and golf courses.  I know we didn't think of all of them!

    Good luck!

i would suggest the place i'm using it's called afrogprince. it's beautiful, in the country, and a way from the the city. it's in harrisonville mo which is around 30 min or less from the heart of kc. it's all-inclusive when you book you booking the decor, food, reception place wedding stop, and you can add their rev or dj thats on staff for a little extra.

Just one word of advice, be careful with using public parks. I went to a friend's wedding in a public park recently next to a playground. Yes, there were children playing (both wedding guests and not) and yes they were loud enough to keep you from hearing the ceremony! If you're looking for south KC check out St. Andrews Golf Club or Deer Creek, both in Overland Park.

Belvoir Winery in Liberty.  They will be newly opened, but I know they already have some September weddings booked.
